Turn 81

A pretty good result for me. The two loses to spearmen were expected, and the battle's vs the was 55% ish odds and they both won, so a slightly favorable trade for me, I have 9 units defending Paris, he has 15 attackers, 13 are HA's and 2 of them are immortals, so I should be able to hold since he has no promotions and all my units are promoted to atleast combat 1. No Combat 2 units though since those had to be turned into shock HA's to deal with the units on the hilltops. Probably should have razed and then ran away, but whatever.

Do you intend to push further or did you offer peace?

I do not intend to push up further as I do not actually have the forces to push up further than this city. Only reason I was able to take it was because of how culturally squeezed it was by my own cities.

EDIT: also I offered peace for all the gold in my bank. 40 Gold don't think he will take the offer let's see what he does.

Turn 82

So I ran a sim of the battle (he killed the HA that went out to scout his forces) and although my cats and follow from HA's would pretty much cripple this attacking force I do not really want to start out a grinding war here that is zero sum since Azza is being swallowed up by TBS and I want my army to be able to defend from Dtay as well once he realizes he is going to need more land to stay head to head with TBS.

Turn 85

City being settled right now currently. Several workers are being moved up to make a road up here, I still have 8 more turns with Dhal on that peace treaty. Have them chop out a WB for the fish tile.




Quick look at the capital, next it will have to whip it's Forge and then start growing off with taking the Food bonus from Ezreal to grow to max size working ALL the cottages. Also have it give back the mine to the city down below it. Forgot the name for that city.

Borders will pop in 2 more turns so I can net the fish, Lissandra has been settled, silks will be hooked up next turn. I'm going to be slowbuilding a market in my capital while it wears off it's whip penalty. It's currently already finished the forge that I whipped and has taken back the deer from Ezreal to grow to max size and work all the riverside cottages that I have planted.

Why not build a worker/settler to avoid growth in the cap while it wears off the whip?

I wanted to whip out the forge since it added +2 happiness and whipping it away will only add 1 unhapinness from the whip penalty, only real problem is that I lose a couple pop points though I can just steal deer from ezreal which is actually suffering from unhappiness issues right now so that it can easily regrow back in size.

Turn 88

So yah I'm doing terribly as usual lately, I'm 1 turning Monarchy. In some of my cities I will be whipping a courthouse since some of the cities I have is going to about 6 gold per city in some cities. The Espionage boost is always going to be helpful as well. Once I get a market in 6 turns and cancel my deals with Dhal I should be in a pretty good shape to support some more cities.

Dtay is either trying to attack me or dogpile onto Azza and take the Confucius shrine.
