Turn 117 & I've adopted Vassalage. Completely forgot about the 2 extra experience points this gives. Oh, and slotted in for all cities to build Totem Poles so Longbows get more exp too.
For some reason Adrien didn't attack Ian Holloway; just trying to starve the city out.

Turn 118 & Ian Holloway has fallen, he lost 5 more Cataphracts.
Thought the loss of this city might isolate the capital, so sent a Worker off to build an extra Road connection, but sadly it was spotted and nicked by Adrien. Thankfully, until IH's culture grows, the Road network connected via a River.
In other news, looks like Pickle's finally stopped wasting EPs on me.

Turn 119 & no further cities taken. Whipped a Longbow in Sam Allardyce, 2 others built naturally.
Peter Taylor is likely to go next turn (3 Cataphracts should take out the 2 units there) but George Burley may hold out (11 units in there; Adrien has a stack of 7 with 3 other units in range)
For what it's worth, coz i don't need the gold, I've turned tech up; may complete Civil Service before I'm wiped. However, the ability to build Mace is long gone though.

Turn 120 & Peter Taylor has fallen (as expected). George Burley held out (as also expected) - Adrien lost 5 Cataphracts without any successes (most unexpected)
Neil Warnock is likely to go next turn; well, should do, if Adrien had 5 units close enough!
A round of naturally built double-promo Longbows at end of turn, just to make Adrien's job harder.
Noticed an unnamed Dog Soldier in Sam Allardyce; will have to rectify this omission, no idea when it was built though. Up to Eagle065 in the naming game (before this turn's builds); may have duplicated names, but not sure how/when.

(forum was playing up when I wanted to post this yesterday)
Turn 121 & Adrien's pausing again. He didn't attempt to take George Burley again or try to take Neil Warnock. No, he's got units sitting on the Gold tiles @ Burley instead of in his main stack poised to attack. This allows me to whip Longbows in Burley & Warnock - if he doesn't attack, or they survive the impending onslaught they'll be Eagle069 & Eagle070 respectively.
Oh, that Dog Soldier is not unnamed, the game can't cope with my stack!

Turn 122 & George Burley still stands despite some combat.
Adrien lost his patience, his mind, his luck and 8 units (6 Cataphracts, a Mace & an Axeman)! A Crossbow (upgraded from an Archer) killed 3 units (including a GG Mace & a GG Cataphract; both against the odds of 60% & 73.1% respectively) & won himself more City Defense!! I lost 2 Longbows, including the soon-to-be-named Eagle069
At least he moved off one of the Gold tiles to attack Burley, not that it's worth working atm. Oh, and he's moved his stack from Neil Warnock - seems a strange move.
3 Longbows built without whipping at end of turn.
As he's running out of units, I'd offer Adrien a cheeky Peace deal, but my game's over. If Adrien accepted, either Dreylin of Pickle would declare war & attack me.

Turn 123 & hmmm ...
Adrien tried to take George Burley again, and failed! He lost 3 more Cataphracts whereas I lost the newly-built (was-to-be-names Eagle072) longbow and the hero crossbow from last turn. Got another GG in Sam Allardyce though; which I added to a Longbow unit there. With hindsight (and too late now as I've sent the turn on ) I should've built the Military Academy so new Longbows would have 10 Exp (3 promos) instead of Exp being distributed to Dog Soldiers
Adrien's dragging up catapults now. If I get the chance to retaliate when they're in range, I will.

Turn 124 & there's a pause in fighting.
Well, at George Burley anyway while that Catapult is dragged into position. My starting unit, Scout, which has been on auto-Explore for ages was stupidly wandered into Adrien's culture so one of his Axes was able to kill it.
Longbows built in Allardyce & Burley.

Turn 125 & nothing happened.
Apart from building a Longbow in Neil Warnock, that is. Oh and finished Civil Service, for all the good it'll do me. Nationalism will take 14 turns @ 100%, doubt I'll see that benefit.

Turn 127 & Adrien's assaulted Neil Warnock. He lost 2 Cataphracts whereas the defence force is reduced to 2 Longbows; who both earned a promotion. A new Longbow joins them, at end of turn, but i think the city will fall next turn as he has 4 fully fit Cataphracts waiting outside in addition to the 5 injured ones.
George Burley took a pounding from Adrien Catapult & the defenses are reduced to 34%. Amazingly no collateral damage caused. Not sure if it's too late, but I've queued Catapults for retaliation. Also queued them at Sam Allardyce; he can expect a warm welcome when he finally comes knocking.
In other news, Dreylin declared war on Pickle & took a city. Judging by the stack of Pickle's Cavalry I can see, Dreylin should be in for some pain.
