And with just a warrior for an escort?  mischief

At this point in the game, you're talking about a small insult. IE, what you're not supposed to do unto?

So, this is boring. Let's spice up updates with NEW ZEALAND FACTS:
Quote:Fact One: New Zealand had the biggest and coolest birbs. Then humans came and ate them all and that sucks.
[Image: Giant_Haasts_eagle_attacking_New_Zealand_moa.jpg]
This is a Haast's Eagle, one of the most bigass of all birbs. Every book I've ever read about them measures them in "size of human child they could prey on", which is scary. He is making threats to these tiny Moa. Normal Moa were waaaay big. If I were to measure them in terms of human childs who are three feet tall, the biggest were four childs tall. That's 1 Shaq plus a decapitated Kobe. They were delicious and humans ate them and this was before buffalo sauce was invented which is the saddest thing about this whole story.

...in game news, our neighbor got himself some Pyramids; I'm watching warily for Police State.

This is a huge borderland. We want to tie down as much as we can; from the EP spending he does have a neighbor somewhere else, which might help.

am I counting correctly, and you have 8 cities?

How many hobbits could a moa eat? How many moa could a hobbit eat?

Indeed, eight cities. AKA about 10% of the winning city count.

Weirdly enough, 4 and 4.

Quote:FACT TWO: New Zealand has the biggest bugs. They have not been made extinct nearly fast enough.
Look at that. Look at the disgusting deviant holding it. That weta is being reintroduced to the island where they got wiped out. As is right and proper. Weird pouch-stuffing marsupials don't hack it in Oceania, the continent belongs to us mammals. Because we have tits and that makes up superior. New Zealand almost did it, they almost wiped out the biggest and grossest bugs, but they are even now choking in the final hour. Death to wetas.

Black pearl event woo.

I pushed Gis' Borne here ASAP to secure the middle of the borderland. There's an upsetting Woody II warrior lurking around, so gotta have the archers cover all the workers. I dunno about this barbarian city, either...I think I may want to just burn it.

The border in general is...tricky. I feel like that marble-proximate city is needlessly provocative, but just ceding it and settling the coastal fish hill as the border gives an awkward forking opportunity in the future.

Any dotmap thoughts, ipecac?

I say settle marble. AGG/IND that built Pyramids = very slow start, he is not going to want to retaliate anytime soon, especially with keshiks being an option.

Frankfurt is what, his 5th city? We have 8, he's probably more concerned that we're going to use our big GNP to rush him with keshiks.

What's the plan, beeline Machinery, windmill everything, build HG, coastal invade someone else?

Quote:FACT THREE: New Zealand has a really stupid national birb.
Look at that durpy little moron. It has feathers LARPing as fur, it poops out eggs a fifth the size of its ridiculous body, its nostrils make it look like a toddler was drawing a bird in crayon and then forgot to put a nose on. Except no toddler would make a birb looking this dumb.
This update sponsored by the letter “B”. B is for Beardbeard and Badgame and bilious bombastic boorish bastards. I think Mr. Gavagai has a potential easy knight or crossbow eating target.
To answer your question, Ipecac, crossbows are the goal after Currency, with a detour to keshiks probably. I keep thinking about Code of Laws for Confucianism but I have to think someone else is targeting that. If we want religion I think the Great Scientist bulb of Philosophy would be wisest. My main hope is actually to just keep REXing. This too big map won’t fill until the Industrial Era.
