so, we met pindicator and he killed our scouting workboat with a galley. That's not good. I switched the cap to a trireme.



We got CoL and I switched to caste. That may have been a mistake, but I don't think we are in serious danger from someone with a random galley.

Part of me wants to kill it.  That's a tough place to have a city - it directly threatens the collosus.  That said, skirmisher's are tough as  hell, but 2 vultures can kill it and if we add in an archer, it should be fine.

What do you think?

I agree that's a tough spot. What do you know about DS, could this remain a limited conflict or is DS prone to revenge? Anyway the city is in such a bad spot, so I tend to agree it should be removed and resettled. But then we'd need to keep up settling eastern islands aswell.

Edit: I'll be leaving for Christmas so I wont be able to cover turns until at least Ne Year, I think.

I know nothing of DS.

And I don't have a problem with having a military outpost there. It's just that he could build up a force of 4 3 move galleys in Dodoma pretty easily and hit Eridu. I'd much rather defend a city on that island, on a hill, behind walls. Eridu is probably the most important city in the Civ.

I'll be around for christmas, so I can keep playing.

Well, I think we are a little screwed. I think it will take at least 3 vultures to take that city, maybe 4. It has a promo, so I assume it will be CG1 or G1, plus it will have a 25% fort bonus.

Problem is, we don't have that many vultures near enough to do anything, particularly with us being at war with pindicator (not sure what that's about - I guess he doesn't want exploration) and in caste. Which currently seems like a bad decision

Well, I have a plan, which should work as long as he doesn't get another skirmisher there.  He almost certainly will, so the plan is doomed to failure



Eridu will make a vulture and then a galley - the galley will take 3 turns, so that will be ready in 5.
Nibru will have a vulture in 3.
Lagash will finish the settler it's on and then build a vulture.

In 5 turns, the galleys will load either 4 vultures or 3 vultures and an archer and move to the seafood.  They will then move 1S.  And then move next to the hill marked c, declare and unload.   Then those units will (hopefully) take that city.

May or may not work.

5 turns is still relatively fast given that we´re without slavery. Good that there are enough mines. Have you done simming, what would it take to win against 2 skirms?

against 2 skirms? I think a 3-1 ratio. CR would help. Maybe 4 vultures and 4 archers.

He's not getting a 2nd skirm unless he boats it over.
