WW15 - Chiron is a harsh mistress

waterbat I am happy to take the mantle - but i will be even more careful and resolute with my own votes. I'm not the decider around here, but 'mayor waterbat' has a nice ring to it.

I was a little disturbed by this quote:

zakalwe Wrote:If Waterbat claims name seer, he should be given a chance to prove his ability by determining the name of one of the as yet unnamed players. If he is telling the truth, I doubt the scum are able to block both him and Serdoa.

If he claims something else... well, I doubt it will be very convincing.

Earlier I had posted that I was still waiting for zakalwe to start his hunting. I'm still waiting. I expected more from you given the recent revelations.
Im aware of the time zone issue - but when you get up, I would like to know your thoughts on the double kill, whether you doubt my claim now that it is out there. Also - i automatically doubt anyone who goes to bed a few minutes before deadline... I mean, its called "DEADline" for a reason - this is virtual life or death here.

I'd vote for Serdoa as planetary governor. He's the one who led us to lynch novice, so he's the only one who can be almost 100% be trusted to be a villager. What has waterbat done to deserve that honour?

How come you're no longer focusing on thestick? A while ago you were absolutely sure he was NAP?

I read the private chat logs. The person I read in the chat logs is innocent... So pretty much with thestick I'm now on the fence a bit. I'm leaning innocent because the logs create the persona of someone I'm familiar with and when I read them side by side with the posts that he made in the main thread they fall into place. Things that seemed odd and offbeat in the Main thread now have more context to them. I knew something was off about thestick but I didn't know what. Seeing the private logs makes me realize exactly what it was. By having a priavte logs thestick actually began to play the main thread as a secondary thread. This is the distance that I felt. He was being more open in the private chat and as such instead of telling all in the main thread he was explaining himself in the private thread. This creates a separation. He was ghosting the main thread. This is what I picked up on and this is what I found to be so damning. Once revealed, it becomes much clearer that thestick is simply an inexperienced villager who's attention was diverted by a private thread causing his suspicious distancing within the main thread.

So I stopped voting for him.

Oh, so that's why people were voting for me.

Serdoa. I say we trust our seer.

I'm still wondering: why slowcheetah and Q? They frankly didn't seem too dangerous for wolves.

I think waterbat's telling the truth. waterbat, can you post your logs with slowcheetah?

One thing that sticks out to me about nightkills. Every single person who has been nightkilled had a name. Like I told Injera back on Day 1, I suspect this is because the wolves think that those who have names have stronger abilities than those without. It's probably not enough to get anyone lynched over by itself, but I'll look over who pushed for the nameclaim other than Lewwyn.

Is the Day 3 writeup done yet?

Meiz' insistence that mindworms can do recruiting despite there being no evidence seems fishy to me. Didn't he post something along those lines Day 1-ish?

Still suspect Maniac for the same reasons as before.

I sort of see the zakalwe case, he isn't jumping on everything or posting huge walls of text. He really hasn't made an impression on my mind for some reason, though. I'm not sure that 'not being as good as he should be' is a reason to lynch him.

Thanks for the metagame WoT, Bob. Why don't you find Lewwyn suspicious?

Sorry for being a little awol, I've been playing around with the new Diablo patch. I agree that's a good summary Bob, though I should clarify my power isn't "anti-Planet" in a flavor sense.

I've been thinking about the two kills. Assuming it wasn't a vig, the first "dream" we received was the same night Meiz and I received our new powers. Q, the recipient of that dream, died the next night, and now we get another dream. Also, crucially Q was not tagged by the NAP. It's speculation, but does anyone else see that the Neighbors-Dreams-Second Kill all could all be related to with some sort of mind worm faction/serial killer that emerged during Night 2?

I tend to overthink these things, but I think it makes a lot of sense.

As for my mayor vote, my first choice would be Lewwyn but he's voting waterbat so I'll go with that. I'm open to switching, however. As for why not Serdoa, it's basically the same reason that, in any given game, I probably shouldn't be your first choice for mayor- I think we both have a tendency to fall in love with our own arguments a little to much.

I think I already touched on this, but mostly for two reasons:

* I think that is likely we have a name seer, based largely on waterbat's allegation. If we do, then Lew's assertion of a disguised NAP gains credibility, as it provides a justification for the name seer role.

* I cannot see much of an advantage for Lewwyn to make up some story about Marr if he (Lew) is a wolf. He could have been trying to force everyone to name-claim I guess, but now that everyone has I don't see what benefit it would have provided for the Wolves. I'm not saying that he's in the clear or anything, just I think much more likely to be village or neutral party than a wolf.

Um. Apologies if I'm missing something here, but why are you claiming that Qg was not killed by the NAP? How would you know, unless you were in on it?

Clarification / elaboration: From what I can tell, there is no information about whether Qg was killed by the NAP or a third party or a vig or what. If there was any provided, I missed it. But Injera seems to be taking it as fact that Qg was NOT killed by the NAP, and the only way I can see this claim as making sense is if either Injera is a third-party player who killed Qg, or a Wolf who knows that they didn't target him during the night.

Injera.

slowcheetah had a note pinned to him that said, "We grieve the loss of our brave compatriot, Sindar Roze. In return, we will kill the rest of you. Our mission will not be stopped. - NAP Supreme Leader" but Q didn't get a note. It is flavor text, though, so maybe Bigger is playing with us.
