It seems this war will last longer than I expected with the current pauses so I unfortunately have to request a pause till the 17th of July. I'm only having access from an old laptop and I don't know how good the connection will be and if I can even log in into this game (as it takes really long even from home...). Sorry for this.

Serdoa I don't want to deny you your fun and am fine with playing out our war, but this game is dragging severely and the final outcome is not in doubt, with apologies to Bigger and Lewwyn. Can we vote again on concession? My vote before was that I didn't mind playing out the turns, but I'll admit that after having been gone from the game a week I'm not really looking forward to diving back into it now and I'd be OK with ending this whenever we have a majority or consensus to do so. If we pause it for a week and come back to it I don't think I'll be any more motivated to play than I am now, honestly. Just throwing it back out there, guys.

It is a bit shame to see turns being paused so regularily lately. Even Bigger that seems to be the most active challenger, seems to struggle being able to play the turns regularily.

My vote is still the same. I enjoy playing the turns, but if everyone thinks that the game is decided I'm ok calling it. I don't think it is fully decided, but changing the most likely outcome requires both strong end game and little luck.

The game is effectively done, we're just playing out the string until we all know who stops we all know what.

I would really rather not talk about this. Plako, I'm having no problem playing my turns. I got it done today even before the timer would have ran out.

I agree w/ Plako, and people trying to talk me into a concession is a form of diplomacy, which is really irritating.

Sorry, I didn't mean any harm Bigger. You have as much right to your fun as Serdoa has to his as he takes me apart (or tries to?). But having the energy and dedication to keep putting in the necessary time into this game is getting hard for me to do. I still normally play at least 30 minute turns even though it's all academic now and I could really use the time to better effect doing almost anything else other than rearranging the deck chairs here. I can't play a quick 5 minute turn and do the game justice, so I'm kinda stuck playing on until this game ends. I don't think I'm the only player in this position, either, but others would have to say for themselves. But on we go, I suppose.

I didn't intend to pseudo-diplo here, but as the game is basically settled in my opinion maybe I'm just more lax on the rules now. I dunno. Mea culpa.

im not playing to have my fun. it takes a commitment to play the turns for me too. im trying to win. And I don't really give a damn what anyone else thinks my chances are. Honestly, my chances went down a great deal once Serdoa brought concession up, and that irritates me (he should have brought it up privately to Krill who could gauge everyone else's thoughts, ours especially). But the damage can't be undone and I'm not going to cry over it. But damn I put 9 months of my life into this game, pursuing the only victory condition available to me - and I'm sure as hell not going to concede before its proven to ME that it won't work.
