Kuriotates obviously, thinking we should ban Clan of Embers too because of the settings

I'd agree with banning the Kuriotates. I'm still not really thinking Clan is overpowered though.

Anyone else got input on leaders civs we should ban? Selrahc mentioned adaptive leaders before and I'm inclined to agree

I agree with banning the kurios and keeping the Clan of Embers.

I don't know about banning adaptive leaders. Are there any big imbalances in keeping them?

Unfortunately im going to have to back out of this game. Good thing it hasnt begun yet anyway.

I just took a job where ill be in the northern territories of canada for 3 weeks at a time and therefore won't be able to do turns.

Since I won't have access to the internet no matter what i do I won't be able to commit to a 6 month + game of FFH no matter how much i;d like to.

Hope you guys can easily replace me and I'll be lurking when i can.

Current decisions seem to indicate...

1. Ancient start
2. Barb world
3. No settlers (But starting with two settlers)
4. Raging barbs
5. Wildlands
6. Unrestricted leaders snakepick
7. Living World
8. Acheron Pre-placed.
9. Human takeover of Mercurians + Infernals
10. Emperor difficulty
11. Kuriotates banned
12. Adaptive leaders banned?*
13. Unrestricted leaders?
14. Quick speed

Unique features placement is still up or debate I think?

* Adaptive leaders are...

Varn Gosam Spi/Cre/Ada
Cardith Lorda Phi/Exp/Ada
Cassiel Phi/Ind/Ada

The benefits of being able to pick a trait every 50-100 turns (never played adaptive to be honest) is obvious

Also there are some other decisions that we need to make.

15. No tech trading?
16. Require complete kills?
17. No vassals?
18. Lairs + huts on as normal?
19. Orthus + Duin on?

Personal choices

15. No trading
16. It's an interesting idea to me but I dount anyone would want to continue playing with a few units left just to try a desperat attack on a barb city or somesuch.
17. No vassals
18. Standard, have both on
19. Both on

Tech trading off, vassals off, normal lairs & huts, orthus and duin can be on as well. don't really care about complete kills, as anyone who has lost their cities is as good as dead anyways

[lurker comment]

Note that having Wildlands (double animals) will tend to nerf Raging Barbs. The extra animal act as spawnbusters and count towards the total barb limit.

If you want oodles of regular barbs, leave Wildlands off.

Well, banning adaptive leaders is probably best. It would be too much of an advantage for who picks leaders first.

15. No tech trading? No trading.

16. Require complete kills? Could be nice, since this game will feature a lot less cities than normal. But most likely it'll slow the game for no reason. So I prefer to leave it off.

17. No vassals? No vassals.

18. Lairs + huts on as normal? Yup.

19. Orthus + Duin on? Both on.

Ohhh i'd really like to join in with this. I should state i currently only have a 3 hour timeslot where i can play the game currently so i can't budge much on timing. Plus the lack of timing means i won't be able to dazzle lurkers as much with a thread.

Am i okay to join?
