Demographically there was some intriguing information from Turn 11.

Turn 10 no changes in either population, score or soldier count (which are the only things I'm really tracking at this point) but Turn 11 we had the Gaspar / Nakor team go up 6 points, from researching a tech. Global soldier count also went up 4000, which is consistent with 2 things

1) They researched The Wheel

2) They researched Mining, but delayed it by 2 turns just to screw with people trying to track C&D, and someone else built a warrior

3) They researched a non soldier point giving tech (Agriculture?) while 2 other teams built a warrior. Well actually they'd have to be one of the teams because lowest soldier points is now 4000 (they were 2000 before this turn)

So I'm going to go with the ol Occam and say 1).

Sunrise and I have had a few discussions about the map which I'll recap and share for you (again, serving my official "thread updating" role)

You can see the eastern peaks in our most recent screenshot, and several of the fog tiles to our west are also peaks.

So the thinking is that we're joined on the same landmass, but blocked by peaks from reaching the other players by land.

Sunrise's supposition is that this is for a Great Lighthouse nerf (because nobody will get "intercontinental" trade routes), which seems fairly likely, given the data that we have so far.

Which kind of screws us, as the only teams with a coastal capital lol

The peaks aren't blocking a land connection, but it does look like the north is a dead end. Silver is nice - I guess scout onto the silver just to make sure there's not a connection / check for seafood up there?

Demographics - soldier count went up 2000 but no techs were researched nor population grew.

So someone built a warrior. No real way to tell who, other than it was not any of the 4 teams that already have 8000 soldier points (Adlain, LP, Moogle or Luddite) nor was it ioan / mackoti (who are tied with us for last and would push us down to 10th instead of 9th if they went up).

The logical guess would be one of the other 2 scout start teams, so let's think build times

An expansive team would have built a worker in 9 turns, vs. 10 for a non expansive team. 3 turns to build a warrior at max hammers, and it's only turn 12, so I'm going to give it to warlordDr.

Make sure to check his spoiler thread to see if I'm right lol

And the north is a dead end

Nice to see decent amounts of seafood up here though.

The first teams already have their deer camps up (food yield of 7) - it's frustrating to see us starting to fall behind.

Turn 14 has rolled with no changes in demographics (population or soldiers).

Nakor got 6 points (a tech) to go up to 41.

The only thing that can be is Fishing, which is.... odd.... for a non-coastal capital. Unless he is going all out for the great lighthouse maybe?

Or it's possible that he doesn't have the same start as us but his BFC is definitely all land (rival worst land is 21000)

After talking it over with sunrise, we did move our scout 1W to the final land tile. He found....

Nothing lol

But better to be safe than sorry.

Also pardon my poor Paint skills but here's an initial dotmapping. It's assuming a tight configuration of cities - we could certainly adjust if we wanted to have less cities.

There were a few resources that didn't get pointers on that screenshot, notably the 2 deer at the capital and the silver in the far NW

Here's a look into the capital of Vine

I swapped over to the 3/1/0 deer - we'll have a warrior in 2 turns
