All players stay out of here unless your dead.
Don't make me send the wolves for your soul.

Man, you put a lot of wolves into this game. Are there any secret roles, and if so can you please post them here in spoiler tags?

Not to mindlessly criticize less the game only a couple hours in, but...
Honestly, some of the game mechanics seem a little bit off. 6 wolves isn't actually *that* bad, although I would feel more comfortable about it if there were some more villager roles [although they could just be secret ] and/or there wasn't a devil. But this whole Mayor thing seems a little iffy to me; the dual voting seems quite unwieldy, and it seems like it is an overly complicated mechanic when I actually really liked the tie-breaking rules in the first game.
And to the actual game: well, I was hoping that these players would learn the last game's lesson of "don't ignore the quiet guys". And yet, while it is admittedly very early in the game, Selrahc has already become Lynch Target Number 1 simply by being first to put his name out for mayor.
BTW: are you allowed to vote for yourself as mayor? Someone mentioned that you couldn't, but I didn't see that in the rules.
Played in: PBEM 4 [Formerly Jowy's Peter of Egypt] | PBEM 10 [Napoleon of the Dutch] | PBEM 11 [Shaka of France] | EitB XVI [Valledia of the Amurites] | PB7 [Darius of Rome] | Diplomacy 3 [Austria-Hungary] | PBEMm/o vs AutomatedTeller

Obviously the mayor would be a nice position for the werewolves to secure. Though I get the feeling that the mayor could end up getting lynched at regular intervals for just that reason. Staying inconspicuous probably takes priority over everything else.
The mayor role is definitely unnecessary, but it seems like a nice way to kickstart some discussion on day 1.

I don't recall who said it, but that lesson is usually applied in hindsight. I bet many of the players will find it harder than expected to not suspect the talkers.

I don't understand why MJW has claimed to be the baner... even if he is... there is still the whole day to go and he only has 3 votes. There are 21 people in this game.
It's just a bad play. If you are the baner then you have to spend the rest of your days protecting yourself or risk death. If you are another villager you just look like a wolf, if you are a wolf, you just put yourself up on a pedestal...
If he is a wolf then it is clear that the wolves are planning on drawing out the real baner early in a similar way to what happened to fire&ice in the first game. PB thought he was the seer but wasn't and it made the real seer more obvious to the wolves. The wolves may have to sacrifice one of their own to get this information but a worthy exchange if you ask me.

Here's the correct way to play the baner.
Day 1: Try your hardest to lynch a mason, just to stir up some action.
Night 1: Don't save the seer; that would just be too easy.
Midgame: Pick a random set of players and relentlessly accuse them. Chances are you picked at least one wolf anyway so it's totally justified.
Endgame: Having been such a useful diversion for the wolves, you will inevitably still be alive. Switch to protecting yourself and lynch whoever agreed with you along the way.
Easy peasy.
Seriously though, that does seem like a poor play for sure, no matter what his actual role is.
Edit - my thoughts exactly:
Sandover Wrote:I'm not a fan of this play MJW, if you are indeed the baner, since there's so much time left and you only had 3 (fairly random) votes. Anyway, let's look at this from a practical point of view:
1. MJW is the baner.
2. MJW is a wolf claiming to be the baner.
One of these should be true. Since he might be the baner we should leave him be for now - we'll find out if he's a wolf or not easily enough later on. Scrying him would be a waste at this point since he'll be revealed as a liar anyway once the real baner becomes known. As such, I'm going to assume that those guilty of requesting a scry on MJW (i.e. Rowain and Meiz) are wolves wanting to waste the seers time. Rowain
Though in reality Rowain and Meiz are probably just villagers who didn't think things through.

Baner is probably the last role you should claim in this game, because then you'll have to spend every turn just protecting yourself, basically making your power useless. A seer can claim because at least he can get protected by the baner then (if the baner believes the seer claim that is)
If I was a wolf and MJW isn't a wolf and survives this day, I'd PM him next day and say i'm the seer, I scried him and he came out as innocent, and ask him to protect me. That way the baner can waste his protects on a wolf. And later if someone else claimed seer, the baner should be on my side because I "confirmed" him as innocent.

It was probably the cause of a few lynching's in the first game and I'm certain it was the reason for a lot of votes, but, the villagers need to understand that just because they don't agree on something, doesn't make the other person a wolf!
Sometimes debate ebtween two villagers turns them against one another when they don't see eye to eye.

Sandover's argument that scrying MJW is a waste of time is strange. Probably too obvious to actually be coming from a wolf, tho.
