Realms Beyond Werewolf 2 : Game Thread

Rowain Wrote:Given that we still have more then 30 hours left I get the feeling that this is really a panicking Baner and not a wolf. Nevertheless as much as I would like the seer to screen our Mayor in the first night I think it more necessary to screen MJW (if he survives) to be sure that he is really what he claims to be.

...and waste a Seer turn at the cost of another villager? I think that is a waste of resources. If we're already wary of MJW that should be enough.

Rowain Wrote:In my opinion the autolynch gives the wolves far too much power (as I stated in the planning thread) so I have absolutly no inclination to help that along.

Agreed, I argued two things in the planning thread to balance the game. Either increase the wolf % or decrease the time we had. Time is the Villagers friend.

I'm willing to change my vote from MJW, because lynching our possible baner on day #1 wouldn't look that good in my records. Btw. might be an idea to distribute some "smoke of the game" rewards after each WW game? lol

That being said, our seer should definitely scan MJW...

Ok, now off to pick a new target! hammer

Jeez last time I checked this game hadn't started, now its 9 pages and I'm already being lynched for not posting?

What does a mayor do anyway? A lot of the planning thread was not very interesting arguing so I guess I missed it.

That claim was completely unnecessary... at 3/21 votes? come on. I think it's more likely to be from a newb villager than a wolf though.

Sunrise089 for mayor, I think I'd rather vote for a candidate who didn't actually put themselves forward than for one who nominated themselves for joke reasons.

Not sure what to think about MJW claiming to be baner... Last game the first person to claim that was lying, although in all fairness that player was a villager too lol.

I tend to think the play is a little too jumpy to be a wolf gambit, but maybe that's the point. Either way, it's either a wolf trying to fool us or a baner that's way too jumpy, so it's hard to be excited about this development. This day is going to be extra long anyways, so why on earth give it away 1/3 of the way through the day? If there's 12 hours to go and you have 3 more votes than the next person then maybe it's time to panic, but not before then.

Oh, and I think Dantski was the last person to make his first post in the thread, so I'm going with that for now like I said I would :P.

I'm not a fan of this play MJW, if you are indeed the baner, since there's so much time left and you only had 3 (fairly random) votes. Anyway, let's look at this from a practical point of view:

1. MJW is the baner.
2. MJW is a wolf claiming to be the baner.

One of these should be true. Since he might be the baner we should leave him be for now - we'll find out if he's a wolf or not easily enough later on. Scrying him would be a waste at this point since he'll be revealed as a liar anyway once the real baner becomes known. As such, I'm going to assume that those guilty of requesting a scry on MJW (i.e. Rowain and Meiz) are wolves wanting to waste the seers time. Rowain

Bah, if you read my previous post, you can see my "unvoting" of MJW just because of those reasons. How do I make it official, [strike]MJW[/strike]?

I haven't decided my new vote yet, though...

Edit: oh, you mentioned scrying of MJW (I should learn to read). You do have a point there.

Please do, it will make things a lot easier!smile

How is screening a person wasting the seer's time?
But I said I would really like to have the Mayor screened because a Wolf as Mayor wouldn't be too good but having a wolf aknowledged as Baner could be equally bad.

We need Villagers that we know we can trust it reduces our risks to kill innocents.

But we do have another problem right now:
The Mayor and the (selfpronounced) Baner are for sure high on the wolves target list. Loosing the Baner would of course be extremly bad (the saving of zakalwe helped greatly to win the game in WW1) but losing the Mayor wouldn't be that well too especially if the Seer screens him the same night.

One possible solution I see would be MJW becomes Mayor as that would reduce the obvious wolf-targets to 1 person making the job for the Baner(=MJW) easier so I switch my Mayor vote from [STRIKE]Ug[/STRIKE] to MJW

Now scrying of MJW makes double sense and is for sure not a wasting of Seer truns.
