Still... there is one thing that occurred to me.

Let's assume that our seer would scrye MJW and identify that he really is the baner. He / she (are there any in this game? ) could then make contact to him and start a cooperation. Basically we would then have a hidden seer + baner who can be the public voice of the seer and announce the findings, while protecting himself from a wolf kill. Sounds good to me at least!

Of course there is always a risk that wolf could fake to be the seer, but that should be caught pretty easily if one of the "sure kills" is a villager after all.

That being said, I also vote MJW as our mayor!

Ok, some more thoughts on the MJW thing. We've basically agreed that there's two possibilities:

1. Jumpy baner
2. Wolf

#2 scares me more than it did earlier. Let's think about lessons learned from WW1. In that game, PB claimed to be the seer but ended up getting lynched. Now in that case he genuinely thought he was the seer, but what happened? Fire&ice was the most vocal anti-PB poster, which broadcasted to the wolves that he was the true seer, causing him to get toasted overnight.

Fast forward to this game. What if a wolf claimed to be the baner (or any role really), with the idea that it would cause the true baner to lead the rally cry that he was a fake. Sure it might mean they lose a wolf to a lynching, but if it draws out the true baner, it'd be a great trade right? Losing the baner early would be really really bad for us, possibly worse than the seer, because the wolves could take out whomever they want every night, meaning the special role villagers couldn't come out publicly and be protected.

Now I'm not ready to switch my lynch vote to MJW, but I'm not nuts about voting him mayor either. Let's take someone a little less risky, right? Also, if MJW is lying and you are the true baner, it might be best if you were quiet/subtle for now. Let's modify our two options from earlier:

1. MJW is a jumpy baner who made a move
2. MJW is a clever wolf willing to take one for the team

I still think it's #1, but we need to make note of #2, so that we don't give away the true baner if he's lying. I'm going to disagree with Sandover and say the Seer definitely needs to check out MJW.

Or the seer can scan an unknown that the WW don't KNOW he's scanning. Thereby either A) finding a wolf or B) finding another secret trusted villager to form a block with. Secret blocs and actual information on unknowns is more advantageous and valuable.

Also, taking the extra night to confirm the "baner" wastes a shot at finding out the true identity of a wolf. I would rather the Seer scanned ANYONE (including even myself!) other than MJW because if he's a wolf it will become obvious he's lying and if he is the baner then we know he's protected. More information is better. He's already revealed what he's done.

I also would rather not have him be the Mayor seeing as he revealed himself with 3 votes. Just makes me think he's panicky, I don't trust his judgment. Also, if he was made mayor then scryed by the Seer what new information would he have to tell us tomorrow? "Ok guys, the Seer scanned me and confirmed I was the baner! You can all trust me now!" How is that in anyway beneficial?? If on the other hand the Seer scries a random person and finds an innocent villager, those two can team up WITHOUT THE WOLVES KNOWLEDGE.

Because you are arguing to waste our valuables I can only assume that Meiz and Rowain are in fact wolves as Sandover has suggested. Seeing as noone has voted for Meiz, but Sandover has voted for Rowain I vote to lynch Rowain.

Also to prevent momentum of MJW as Mayor I vote for... well. I'll sleep on that one.

Which one do you think is more valuable, Seer and a villager working together, or Seer and Baner working together? We have a possibility for the later one as long as our Seer can get confirmation on that. So we have a possible Baner candinate, but the last thing you want is our Seer to know it for sure? That sounds a bit off...

I admit that our possible Baner might be a bit panicly, but think about a situation where the village would have a Mayor Baner that is immunie to wolf kills. Again sounds pretty good to me, so why do you think that the worst idea ever is our Seer having a knowledge about this?

If MJW is a wolf after all, then we have a Seer and Baner who know about it for sure. I would also imagine that his Mayor actions would give quite obvious clues. You know, there are more subtle ways of getting the truth out than yelling it .

Let's not forget F&I mentioned that there was a secret roles LIST, implying there's at least one more secret role in this game besides the Devil whose existence was revealed. There's probably a Fool or similar in there just to make day 1 claiming dangerous business, especially as F&I himself got burned by a Fool in the first game he'd be more likely to throw that role in imo. The strategy proposed by Rowain/Meiz would be reasonable if we knew there were no more secret roles, but could easily end up in a disaster if we had, say, a Fool/Seer fight over MJW's status on day two.

As far as I can see everyone is as likely a wolf as MJW so scanning anybody else would not really reveal that much more info but you would stil believe that MJW is a trusted Baner

Tell me how it will become obvious. After all he claims to be the Baner and not the Seer. Tell me why are you so absolutly against MJW getting screened? I moved from my initial suspicion against MJW to thinking him a panicking villager but your absolut refusal to get our so-called Baner screened makes me think that maybe MJW is in reality a wolf perhaps even the Devil and his pack fears nothing more then him getting screened
That would mean that his first post about the poor wolves and calling for the missing Devil was nothing other then a clever ploy. Have to think about this abit as I really can't grasp why you are so hard against a screening of MJW.

As for MJW for mayor: My reasoning is simple: Baner and Mayor will be high targets (at least until another special role is revealed) so combining those jobs would make it far easier for the Baner. But yes given these roles makes it necessary that he should get screened.

@uberfish If we really have the fool in game we are royally f*****. IMO losing the seer is a hard blow but having the fool running alive is even worse. No Info is better then wrong info.

Interesting stuff. And when I say stuff, I mean

Yeah, my gut feeling is that MJW is playing the TT-role from the last game, and all that implies. If there's a "fake baner" as was suggested above, that would really suck. Not a big fan of those fake roles, but I suppose we have to play the hand we're dealt. As someone stated, f&i did seem to imply there might be a whole list worth of secret roles. Not promising for us innocents.
