... playing more Diablo 2, that is.
There was a half price bargain bin D2 Battle Chest for Christmas at the local EB Games shop and it ended up being my only present this season.
So if you see an rbd# game active and you don't know the char/acct, it will probably be me.

That's as easy as eating cake. After installing from any media you have - CD or Digital Download - let the vidtest tool run and select the gfx mode to use. In case you run in display issues check out this Blizzard Support info for basis troubleshooting. After that follow these instructions precisly:

- right-click the game shortcut and select "Properties"
- select "Compatability" tab
- check "compatibility mode" and select either Windows 2000 or Windows XP from the dropdown list. Otherwise the controlls don't work properly.
- check "disable visual designs"
- check "disable desktop composition"
- check "run as administrator"
- click OK

Once this is done start the game, connect to any realm of b.net to get the latest patch installed and you are ready to go.
