Werewolf 2 Lurker Thread: Spoilers!

Interesting thoughts, luddite. One possible response is for the wolves to start voting for a lynch other than one of the two masons. But the villagers will outnumber them.

But if a fake seer approaches the remaining mason, how can he distinguish between that and the real seer? You say that's resolved after day 2, but how? It's difficult to even bring the topic into public discussion without giving away who is claiming to be the seers.

You don't lynch the Masons. They are either wolves or who they say they are. If one of them gets eaten, then you can trust the other. If they are wolves then you can hang them 4-5 rounds in based on votes.

Lynch the person the seer tells you to lynch. If the lynchee is a villager, lynch the fake seer next. Rinse and repeat.
I have to run.

Poor sunrise...

He got one of the most important roles in the game when crearly he hasn't had the same amount of time (or the will to spend it) that some players are dedicating (and expecting him to do the same) to the game.

This. I guess it probably wouldn't happen on day 2, but eventually the seers' information is going to conflict, and then you'll know.

I guess the wolves could respond by having 3 or 4 of them claiming to be the seer. That would be pretty funnylol.

Selrahc Wrote:There were 5 wolves. If all of those wolves have a night action of eating someone, and the owl both sees the person acted and sees who they acted upon, then they are in fact better than a seer.

This is apparently a game without a fool. Seer + Baner with no fool to create doubt is already broken. Adding in a role that is essentially a second seer breaks the game in two.

Have to agree here.

The wolves' best shot now is to eat the Owl tonight, as the Baner will be protecting the Seer. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out who the Owl is, or at least make a reasonable guess. If the wolves are lucky they can take out the three villager power roles in three consecutive nights, and still salvage a win. Kill the Owl tonight, the Baner tomorrow, and lastly the Seer.

If Serdoa is a wolf he's doing a shockingly bad job, as TT pointed out. More likely that he's the TT of RBWW2. tongue

Isn't having 1/3 of the people in the village enough and yes you got the godfather under a different name. I am suprised that your possesed partner in crime has not tried to contact you yet.

Alright, so I'm dead.

Absolute biggest bad thing about this game?

I start the game. I get a villager role PM. I think, oh, I'll go nominate myself for mayor. Maybe kickstart some fuss. Should be fun. It's not like I'll really be risking anything big.

Then some people in the thread complain about the devil role.

Fire And Ice promptly changes my role from Villager to Devil, right after I've made a big fuss about nominating myself for mayor.

I immediately dropped the campaigning plan. Tried to drop to a lower profile and seem sensible, while trying to avoid attracting attention to a sudden volte face. I still get voted in mayor.

So yeah. Nominating myself for mayor as the devil would have been insane. That is why I didn't do it!

Gotta say... probably not. If the owl really can detect werewolves then that gives the villagers way too much information.

The seer is by far the most powerful and important role in the game. If the villagers have two seers, the werewolves are pretty likely to lose.

If all the owl does is detect night actions but not including kills then it's a decent enough role.

sorry about that I messed up I set up the roles planning on a devil but then never assigned the devil role when I gave out the roles to people. Once again sorry about that.

Owl will only detect if the person sent me the action that night was how I was going to do that for werewolves. No roles were told. The owl was only told who they scanned and who they visited.

Selrahc, well at least that explains why you nominated yourself...

Do you think there was any way to defend against the lynching on day three? Could you not think of a way, or did the wolves decide to cut you lose and try to get a positive spin out of your death? I guess with so many power roles revealed the devil isn't much more valuable than any other wolf?
