Realms Beyond Werewolf 2 : Game Thread

Fealing brave with the werewolves numbers dropping.
A party of villagers gather together armed with weapons from MJW's hut.
They traveled all night till they wandered into a cave.

The werewolves realizing the fool villagers entered their home. Slid in behind the groups silently taking sunrise.

Draging him back to the town they placed his body atop the chapel.

Magic is useless unless the on wielding it lives to tell the answer.

There's only one possible explanation: Sunrise was a wolf, and killed himself to clear his name! I say we lynch him!

Farewell Sunrise. At least we got one wolf out of your visions. We're halfway through the wolves, but somehow I get the feeling the rest are going to be a little harder to catch from now on. Hopefully not.

Serdoa. I wish I would have known about Uber's counter-claim before I went to work yesterday... I would have snapped my vote back to him faster than Tokugawa opening borders. Wait, that doesn't work. In any event, I'm just glad we as a village stuck to our guns, and I'm sad to hear that Sunrise is gone.
You can get a look at a t-bone by looking up the bulls ass but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.

Well, guess what Mr. Nice Guy, I didn't know either. I knowed there is a counter claim, thats it.

That said, I would like to know your evidence against me. That I am actively participating? Thats hardly a bad thing. That I did not vote for wolves till now? Yeah, bad on my part, no question. But Day 1 as well as Day 3 are explained and there is nothing much to add to that. Both days I was not the only one believing that we should not kill Sandover and that we should not kill Selrahc. On Day 2 I did not vote for Meiz (yeah, yeah, I know, both on the block are probably villagers, especially if it helps your story against me now). And on Day 4 I voted for Sareln, switched to uberfish and then was talked too from others in private to vote for Sareln. This together with there arguments which I found logically sound let me switch again.

So, what exactly did I do so wolfish? As Roland (I think) said some time ago: If I would be a wolf, why do I talk so much? It is too easy to get caught. Look at Selrahc, look at uberfish. Even on the chopping block they did do nearly nothing to defend themselves.

I would ask you to rather look for those who do not talk much in this thread. You will find several people who have only one third the posts that Roland, scooter or I have. I think those are much more suspicious. Ug, Irgy, Mr. Nice Guy.

Oddly enough, I'm not going to throw a vote out just yet, though I probably will shortly just to get the conversation going, as we're nearly a quarter of the way through the day and we're not really talking. Given we don't have a scried target to attack, we'll need to chat a bit more this go round to figure out what we can figure out.

I just really wanted to say we should caution against this logic:

I don't think a wolf is any more likely to be chatty or quiet. Much like villagers have different styles, so do wolves, after all, its the same players playing either role. Dantski, for example, isn't going to talk much regardless of which side he's on. In both WW threads he's been suspicious because he's been quiet (and wrong, mostly) as it turns out, he's been a villager both times. At the same time, uberfish was very talkative in WW1 and was a wolf. Sandover was also very talkative even before getting suspected in this game.

What you really want to look for is content. Players who hedge a lot, to me, are most suspicious. Think about it like this: If you had spoiler information but didn't want anyone to know you did, how would you behave? That's what the wolves have - they're the only players who have perfect knowledge of what we're all trying to figure out. They don't want us to know they know though, so even if they're acting on that spoiler knowledge, they're going to throw out caveats about changing their mind if something happens, etc. Its tough to re-read this thread because its so unbelievably spammed up, but those are the sort of cues we want to look for.

Probably the worst way to pick out a wolf is just by looking at where their vote landed in the end. They'd have to be stupid to not realize how much that will be analyzed, so they're going to split up, and they're going to follow the bandwagon.

Bottom line, the last 3 baddies will be the hardest to catch. Even though we're in good position, we've gotten awfully lucky thus far. Sandover was a good catch, but Selrahc and uberfish were scries. Given how that information got put out there, we revealed all our power-roles, so assuming the Owl dies tonight, we're fresh out of scrying power, we're going to have to figure the rest out the hard way.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Ok that was the last 'easy' kill - although the remaining wolves have been making it really hard by throwing out distraction targets (eg. Sarelyn).

I'm convinced that at least two of the last three wolves come from :

Serdoa
Scooter
Rowain

As they are so vocal on the forums, I'm sure there will be lots of further distractions to come. I'm only going to move off these three with positive ID on a wolf from the Owl - although he's toast next night cycle as Uberfish pointed out the wolves know who it is.

Gaspar, I agree with you that it is not about who talks the least but also about what actions were taken. But still, as you said the wolves have spoiler knowledge. They have to keep quiet otherwise they are prone to slip up.

As for my vote: Unfortunately the phases end at 10pm for me and now I am at work, so I did not put too much thought into whom to vote for and probably won't for some time (depending on how much work I have to do). And when I have enough time (today in the evening) there probably will already be a bandwagon against me. Not much I can do against that right now, exept for asking if the Owl scried either someone acting in the night (=wolf) or if he scried me (because then I would finally be found not guilty).

I fear that neither happened. :/
