Easiest solo class/spec ?

Thanks for the help, act 1 was a breeze. nod

I am in act 2 now and was wondering which mercenary to hire ?

According to the wiki I can get the following three auras:

-Combat: Prayer
-Defense: Defiance
-Offense: Blessed Aim

Which one is the best for my skeletons ?

Blessed Aim. Skeletons have pretty poor attack rating and it will help them noticeably.

If you get to Nightmare difficulty and keep playing, you can hire a mercenary with the Might aura, which is the best overall. +200% damage or so for the skeletons.

Ok, I finished normal mode and didn't even die once. smile The only place I thought was hard was the boss in that space-labyrinth thingy in act 2 where you look for the sorcerer's diary, but only because my minions would keep blocking stairs.

The melee skeletons are indeed really strong on normal, if you put points in the correct skills. In the whole game, only diablo was able to kill my army, but since I used skeleton frost mage + decrepify he was already down to ~20 % health when the last skeleton died. I just walked back to a room with corpses, resurrected a new army and finished him off.

And while the necromancer is really equipment-independant, it makes him a bit boring to play, since 99% of the gear you find doesn't make much of a difference. On the other hand, if you find one of the few +skill items, they boosts your power immensely.(Reloaded/reentered the town an incredible amount of times until the damn merchants in town would offer a decent wand...lol).

Anyway, now I am ready for Diablo III, hopefully if will still come out this year !
