Note: I am doing my best to keep spoilers to an absolute minimum in this post. There will be an occasional behind-the-scenes werewolf email, but I will mostly redact names unless it obviously doesn't matter (for instance, a day 1 Sandover email will be included, and it will be quite obviously not spoilerish).
Alright, so my gameplan for this game was a simple one - do my best to play this game just like I would if I was a villager. I rarely lied, actually I can't think of a time that I did. For instance, I still believe on day 1 that voting for MJW or Sandover was foolish from a villager's perspective, and in a future game if I'm a villager, I'd probably be against it for that exact reason. Obviously there was bias that creeped in. My idea for the game though was that it would be hopeless for me to try to fly under the radar, because I'm just not geared towards shutting my mouth and not say a word. I figured I'd do a better job selling myself as a villager who's trying hard rather than selling myself as a quiet "voice of reason" villager. I'm now going to try to give a rough report of what all happened from the wolves (and my) perspective. If this has been covered by other dead wolves, then I'm sorry - haven't read this thread yet, as I'd like to write this without any influence from this thread.
Day 1
On day 1, I pushed strongly the theory of not lynching one of the two baners. As a result of what I felt was a series of "voice of reason" posts from me, Meiz PM'd me saying he was convinced that I must be a villager. We exchanged several messages, and I hoped that this could get me linked in and give us some inside info on who was who. I decided to pursue this, but obviously it ended up not working. To Meiz - sorry about deceiving you so badly, but hey, had to do what I had to do

.
Regardless though,
lots of crazy things happened on day 1, and I'll shed some light on what was going on behind the scenes. First, Selrahc put himself up as the mayor before we were given a devil. This.... was very annoying. As a result, we got the devil elected as mayor, which was NOT what we wanted. Fire&ice actually totally forgot about the devil until I PM'd him almost two hours into the game going "um, hey, do we get a devil?" So Selrahc was switched from villager to devil after he had already accumulated several mayor votes. Funny thing is before we were given a devil, I was going to nominate Selrahc as mayor immediately, so it was an interesting coincedence. This really hurt us right off the bat, as it looked bad that Selrahc suddenly had to go quiet after he found out he was the devil.
We felt really bad about the Cyneheard kill, mostly because he joined because of how early he got booted in the first game

. We mostly had no idea who to kill on day 1, so we figured we'd take a shot in the dark on someone quiet who we wouldn't expect to be quiet. In addition, he made a moderately obscure post on day 1 that
kind of hinted that he wanted to scry someone, but we all knew that was pretty flimsy, but it gave us something to work with. We also scried a villager (won't give the name since he's still alive). So yeah, day 1 we lost a wolf, elected the devil mayor, killed a regular villager and scried a regular villager... So yeah, Day 1 was basically a monstrous disaster.
One thing that many here might or might not have wondered, was why didn't we kill Roland on day 1? Short of it was that we thought he would hurt the village more than help it. Here's this email from Sandover:
Sandover Wrote:Damn that Roland - he's making the right conclusion for all the wrong reasons! Worst part is he'd look like a genious if I were to get lynched.
I don't see why MJW would claim to be the baner if he was really a mason. I'm going to take a guess that the masons are making sure to not get mixed up with each others at this stage.
A response from another wolf:
werewolf Wrote:On the contrary, that's absolutely the best part. He's reading things that aren't there, for all that he happens to have got lucky and stumbled into a correct result this time. If everyone decides he's a genius it'll just about seal the game for us. There he'll be next to MJW leading the "trusted villiager" bandwagon straight into whoever happens to open their mouth at the wrong time, and everyone else will blindly follow. I really don't expect it to be a difficult train for the rest of us to keep out of the way of.
Of course you're tied to the tracks in front of it at the moment. I'd definately rather we didn't lose you, but the fact that everyone will decide this guy is a genius afterwards is great news. I wouldn't worry too much yet, there's a sudden swing towards you (which one of us maybe ought to cover themselves by joining - I won't though because I'd never be convinced by that wall of text as a villager), but there's plenty of time left.
So this is why we kept Roland around - we felt he would lead the village astray. This email from a werewolf was probably a little TOO optimistic, but it was our one good moment from Day 1. We felt we made a good decision when on day 2, Roland led the push to kill Meiz. I'm guessing more was going on there behind the scenes now that Lewwyn explained that there was lots going on, but the point is - we didn't kill Roland because we figured he was an ordinary villager who would be prone to reading way too far into things. In hindsight, I think we made the right decision. I mean that as no offense at all to Roland by the way, but I think we made a good decision there is what I'm trying to say. Day 2 is next, and we were happy to have day 1 behind us. Yes this day is the longest day to report, so relax, it'll get quicker

Day 2
We all know the Meiz thing was done to death. I defended him heavily, because he believed I was innocent, so why not cement it for him just in case he survived. For me though - I was fine with him dying, because I figured if I fought it just enough, it might give me some credibilty. In retrospect, I worked a little
too hard, and if I could do it over again, I'd be a little less obvious.
The more interesting question is why we killed Luddite. Funny part is that he was on our list of people that we considered killing on Day 1. I sent this email early on in night 1, after Sandover got killed:
scooter Wrote:Luddite just said "good job villagers" in the game thread... Do we take that as an oops to show that he really is a mason/seer? Remember in game 1 - everyone was up in arms because Krill used "villagers" in the 3rd person, and it turns out it actually was a mistake because he was the mason. It's a reeeaaaal stretch, but you guys think there's some credibility to this?
At least should be considered. He was chatty until MJW outed himself and then he went pretty quiet, keeping a low profile from there on out, which seems pretty seer-like, realizing the baner screwed up so he needed to keep a low profile so they both wouldn't get caught.
Going into night 2, we decided to kill Luddite because of this. There was also mention at some point on how it was interesting that he ran for mayor - something that a power role might do in order to get the seer to scan them. This obviously paid off for us. We also scanned sunrise that night. Who to scan was a bit of a crapshoot actually. I originally suggested that he seemed like he was trying to keep quiet, although my feelings were mostly wiped away when it turned out that he was out of town. I did think it was intersting though that MJW said early on in day 2 that the seer had yet to contact him, which to me implied that the seer hadn't been online yet, which fit great with sunrise. It's probably more likely that sunrise didn't believe MJW, but when you've got nothing to go on, that sounds great. We mostly just got lucky on the sunrise scry.
So in short, we thought a bad day 1 was followed by a fantastic day 2. Now if we could get through day 3 without any shenanigans, we'd kill the seer the next night. Unfortunately, shenanigans most definitely occurred.
Day 3
Day 3 is where things fell apart in the daytime. The owl (who we had no idea existed) followed Selrahc and sunrise scanned uberfish. Just a horribly unlucky day altogether. Not much I can add, though I can comment on us killing MJW. Because the day went so poorly, we figured we need to kill either sunrise or MJW that night, despite the fact that it would be risky. We decided to make an attempt to outguess MJW and try to kill him directly. Turns out he was role-blocked (we had no idea), but regardless, we got the kill.
I'd like to comment on that by the way. I believe MJW should have been mod-killed after day 1, because he clearly cheated in a way which might have cost us Sandover. Unfortunately that did not happen and probably would have been to harsh on the village honestly. The thing is - none of us could say anything about "he's cheating!!!!" in the thread, because we'd come under suspicion. I nearly sent fire&ice a PM demanding something be done, but it worked out ok in the end.
Anyways, fire&ice role-blocking MJW on night 1 would have been utterly pointless (why would we try to kill him that night?), and it was obvious he wasn't going to be modkilled. I think him waiting to role block him would actually be a totally reasonable punishment, but claiming he did it because of the editing made fire&ice look really bad. I think fire&ice should have come out and said MJW needed to be punished for the day 1 incident + repeatedly breaking the editing rule after being warned. I think this would have been satisfactory to all, especially given the fact that night 3 was a perfect night to make the punishment matter. It was actually pretty unlikely that us werewolves would have gone after MJW that night, so it was by no means a mod-kill. I just think fire&ice gave a reasonable punishment for his overall actions, but did a really poor job communicating it, causing unnecessary tension.
Days 4-6
There's not much I can add at this point, as this stuff is mostly obvious. The only thing that needs clarifying is why we killed Sareln instead of Lewwyn. It actually had nothing to do with Sareln's night-time post, as we had made up our minds already. I won't share emails as it gives away a couple things, but this is a summarization of our thinking:
Dantski - why bother killing him? Also, one of the other wolves suggested that we could possibly paint him as the "godfather" role, which is a werewolf who scries villager or something. This was never pursued, but we figured Dantski was irrelevant.
Lewwyn - he had just really badly discredited himself by killing Roland, so we figured he was much less useful after that. He will almost assuredly get killed tonight.
Sareln - Everyone pretty much believed he was a villager by night 6, so we figured let's kill a guy who was the closest to confirmed as possible. We also figured it might cause the village to sit and theorize as to why a random villager was killed rather than a mason mayor. I think we made the right decision actually.
So that summarizes that. The only other comment I have about day 6 is about the Roland lynch. To be frank, I have no freaking clue how he got lynched. We were all baffled as to why the village lynched him, but Roland sure did himself no favors. Lewwyn really badly messed up there, and I'm sure he knows it.

I'm going to end this post here and continue in another post. I'd like to cover what exactly was going down today, and I'll probably unveil my evil (mostly just crazy) plan that I was going to use tomorrow until I was suddenly killed today. I'll also have some interesting (and quite franklky humorous) news about the possessed role. Overall though, I think the wolves have a good shot still, and I think they can pull it off. I think they'll probably win, though it's definitely not a sure thing yet.
