Oh actually I crossposted with Ichabod, and I like his logic in the previous post about the distancing. MNG -> Selrahc.

Who is this "we" you are referring to, Irgy?
Wow you're right, that was pretty bad. I wrote "we've", and I really did mean "they've". I actually have not the foggiest idea why. What can I say? When I was a wolf last game I was really, really careful about checking for stuff like that. Whereas this game I'm just typing it as it comes, with just a minimal re-read for speeling and grammar the bad. Well, there's a lesson in that for me now, and for the rest of us after the game (or after I die to be precise): I'm never going to put stock in that sort of "slip up" again.
I could have tried justifying myself by claiming I genuinely meant "we've", because it could be argued to fit there too, in a kind of "we've done everything we could be we're still losing" sense. But I really did mean "they've".
As for Mr Nice Guy and Selrahc, as I said earlier I actually think they're flying too low under the radar. With everyone talking about lynching quiet people, both on day 1 of this game and in previous games, the wolves would surely avoid being that quiet. Sure they can just as easily avoid the band I'm currently targeting, but the difference is no-one's suggested targeting that band before so the wolves probably thought it was safe. It's good to poke the really quiet people into action, and certainly once we stop then we reopen the rather worrying strategy of just not saying anything. But for today I'm still more inclined to go with what I think is a better guess for a wolf.

Ichabod Wrote:May I add another thing to the list. Bob tried to hide the fact that he was the seer by making a seer directed post, the one quoted previously.
Yeah, I reckon this was a mistake too. In WW2 we (yeah I really mean we this time ) targeted Cyneheard first because he made some sort of "good luck to the seer" post early in the night which we thought might have been a similar sort of "look at me, I'm not the seer" ploy. Although it's different in this game because there's known to be two "seer/fool"s, and there's something to be said for trying to advise the other one. Again though Bob, don't take any of this criticism to heart, you were really just unlucky.

So I'm picking up some votes because:
1. I haven't been spamming out my post count quite enough. This is quite intentional. I don't like the atmosphere of "lowest post count is a WOLF!", because it leads to the thread being cluttered up with fairly pointless messages.
I think I basically limited my conversation to relevant topics. Lynch vote/character roleplay. Justify my vote. Bring up a gameplay issue I wanted to discuss. If I hadn't had the thing to discuss, I'd have talked even less.
I'll say it clearly. The post count is the most godawful indicator of wolfishness ever. We have seen that in game 1 and 2. I could have told you all that before we even ran a game anyway.
Fuck the post count.
2. "The MJW vote was too safe"
I explained my reasons for the vote. I think they were clear and logical. Either he was a wolf, or a nuisance, or he could be a helpful wolf distraction by fake claiming. Good enough for my vote. Nobody really contested the reasoning, except MJW himself in a defence that will forever be known as "smokers cure alzheimers", which due to the rather deranged analogy I thought I might not bother to respond to. Nothing better came up.
Jumping from bandwagon to bandwagon like a rabbit on a pogostick isn't my idea of good villager behaviour. Suggesting I'm more wolfy because I gave my reasons and stuck to them is insane.
(Maybe I should be splitting this statement up into multiple posts. Got to keep the post count up after all.)

If a low post count draws suspicion, I suppose I am always going to be suspicious then.
Irgy Wrote:but in my honest opinion you only get to the bottom of the post count list through RL, and RL tells us nothing.
I cannot speak for anyone else, but RL is a bear for me. I will probably get in a couple extra posts today just because I am in front of the computer working on a trial brief, rather than out of the office at depositions or court hearings.
My patterns are pretty easy to discern. I tend to post in the mornings, maybe early evening, and before bedtime. That is on a good day. Really the one exception is when I end up having to get more involved in my administrative role in Pitboss 4.
We'll see whether weekends are any better for me. I have my doubts.
As for the game itself, I definitely think bringing in some new blood is the best idea to get more information, but I am not sure why Lewwyn is getting a free ride. Other than Bruindane's picture and Irgy's pronoun foul-up, I don't see much other hard evidence to go on.

+10000000 goes for GES above.
I would like to vote for Sandover. He's really done nothing of note to me, hasn't really done any explanation(ok that myself on day 1 isn't that much, and like that one dude said about post count, Sandover is just being allowed to fly completely under the radar. He has very little reason for this, being super active in pbems I believe. Also, nearly all of his posts can be viewed as throughaway votes imo, voting either for bandwagons(novice mayor) or complete non entitys at the time(myself, zak, etc.)

LOL Selrahc, if I was voting based on postcount I'd vote for MNG. You're way too indignant and defensive for having 2 votes on you in a split field. Day 1 you said you like multiple bandwagons, now you're saying switching votes around is bad? Isn't the whole point of having multiple targets to generate information when people switch?

Irgy Wrote:For want of anything better to go on, MJW was a villager, so the only vote we know was bad (in hindsight) was MJW. I stand by my choice given the knowledge I had, but the point is there must have been a wolf or two on MJW <snip>
Feel free to kick Mr Nice Guy in the pants for having half as many posts as anyone else, but in my honest opinion you only get to the bottom of the post count list through RL, and RL tells us nothing.
Suppose a werewolf has a "real life". Mr Nice Guy voted for MJW (twice in fact) using a reason that precluded MJW's werewolfiness. The fact you are defending him for not posting, while saying there must be a MJW wolf is myopic.
