Thanks!
Turn:
Let's start with the log:
Yikes, Nakors got a GA to tech up and build phracts with.
Sad, my Galleon died, at least he put up the good fight. Totally worth it to take the city like that.
Sucks, that this random event happens... AGAIN to me. I had this kill a forge in another city round here. I was going to have this city start producing units but it looks like I have to build the forge all over again!
Hah! TRD continues to amaze me. He places an Xbow and an HA within striking distance of my GGs with no other backup on the tiles. I'll show how this went down in a bit. Its pretty hilarious.
Also in this picture we can see my tech(actually 2 turns for feudalism) and TRD's tech (also 4 turns based on ended turn), but yeah, TRD is definately teching caravels in an attempt to keep me off his islands. I"m going to have to build a naval force it looks like. And tech optics myself in order to compete. Triremes won't cut it. TRD has 255 gold right now, I"m betting his deficit is around 70-80 gold? I need to slow his teching. I need to take another city.
Battlefield:
Okay so see where I've marked the dead xbow and the dead HA? I believe that TRD was attempting to be sneaky. The Xbow was actually out of my vision. It possibly could have hit Frigga next turn and killed my GG (who did not have archery promo at that time) and then the HA could have killed the wounded zerker and I would have only had a cat left. Its not a bad plan. Excapt that I can see the HA. Because I have spy vision on Charity I see the HA and want to kill it (and take the worker) so I send my GG in Frigga to kill it. I used goto command right? It says it will simply go south and hit the HA and allow me to retreat out of range of Xbows in chastity. Well, instead it circles the peak, kills the HA and runs out of moves. Also revealing that he Xbow was there. I think, whoops. So I check out my other GG, and yes he's fully healthy again. He's got about 75% odds which is better odds than the other GG is going to have if I don't kill this Xbow. Hit it, kill it and I move it onto the tile with the other GG. Why? Because NEITHER GG took damage in their fights!

Those are some strong-ass GGs.
So now I have two healthy GGs in range of of Chastity and almost all the units in Sigyn are healthy. So I pull the cat from Frigga, and Move the units out of Sigyn and begin to march on Chastity. I've only got 2 cats between these armies, but my GGs have about 25% odds on the crossbows in the Chastity even without any bombarding or collateral. The question becomes what will TRD do? Will he attack the main stack across the river? Will he attack the stronger GG units? He has 4 crossbows that can reach the GGs, but if he tries to kill them he will definitely lose all the units he throws at them because A) the GGs can kill those Xbows 1 to 1, B) if he sens units to finish the job they'll be out of position when my main stack is outside Chastity. We shall see, in either case (attack out or turtle up) TRD is screwed. Thing is attacking out with the Xbows means they don't get their defensive bonuses. I'd be happy to have them attack out and make my city capture easier.
Also my new galleon has 2 zerkers and a cat on board. We'll see where he goes as I circle around TRD's islands. Optics will make hiding its approach a pain in the ass. Gotta stop him.
