I would say that you have just made the understatement of the month.

I'd vote for the Hatty of India start, except if a non-player wouldn't mind delete one of the clams just so it's not TOO crazy lol. I like the start, leader, and marble, but I just feel like a 5 food capital is way over the top. Granted, the west clams will almost assuredly be split into another city, but you get the point. Perhaps go with the Hatty start and have someone delete the 1N clams?

wow, what's with the seafood bonanza?

I like Scooter's idea.

I made sure I rolled them all back to back because I got accused of cheating last time around because a) they were so good b) I rolled them all over the course of half an hour watching the opening night of NBA. Like I said, I just have stupid good luck when it comes to rolling these things.

As for the Hatty start, I say we roll with the five food. We need all the help we can get to make up for my noob ass. lol

The thing I like best about the Hatty start is that you can basically see another good city site already. I would say settle city 2 on that plains hill for clams and pig and you have a good second city already right?

The funny thing about the Hatty start is that we could actually move to the plains marble hill and get a 3-hammer plant. I don't think I've ever seen that happen before, in a random map.

but yeah, definitely settle in place, and then settle another city on that plains hill to grab the pigs and 1 clam.

As someone said last time around, I just need to go to Vegas and be done with it.

EDIT: Actually it was that WW3 thorn in our side novice again:

You know, we could potentially split the 1NE clam into another (very close) city... Because fish + wet corn + 1 clams is plenty enough for the capital. If that's do-able, then we could just roll with the 5 food, because yes, we may need all the help we can get. If we end up powering to a win, then we could play another SG with slightly more challenging circumstances.

I'm fine with either my delete-a-clam idea or just rolling with all 5, but Hatty is definitely my vote.

Perhaps I should come to bet on soccer matches. I kinda cleaned up at that during our RB world cup picks competition despite being pretty ignorant overall. lol

What I thought was interesting was that all 3 starts were clams + corn + river + lots of forests. Kinda bizarre and absurdly lucky.

I guess to do that we would settle City 3 on the tile 3E/1N which looks to be plains?

Yeah that was the idea I had. Although we probably would rather city3 go in a land-grabbing position, and come back to that spot with our 4th or 5th city. But yes, that's the idea. I thought plains at first, but at a closer glance it actually looked a little bit tundra-ice-y. Hard to tell.
