I'd say don't start on a worker until Education is nearly finished, and don't start a settler until at least after the worker.
It's hard though because in the test game there were a lot of barbarian spawning lairs (goblin forts, burrows, ruins, bear dens) and barbarians were a real nightmare. In this game, there doesn't appear to be any, and barbarians might not be such an issue. So an earlier settler might be ok. We're not in that much of a rush though to settle, really.
I'd send the new scout north too by the way. Maybe northwest at first, in order to then circle to the east. Use your own judgement though, that's just my guess really.

Sounds like a plan - enjoy your various Easter festivities, and I'll promise we'll still be here when you get back . I'll aim for especially detailed reports, insomuch as there are details worth reporting, so you can catch up quick. Especially if we have a bunch of turns like T19, though, where the only excitement was 'oh, look, a points change', I think it'll go pretty smoothly

The scout is fully healed this turn, which turns out to be good because Mitecha is still following us.
Moved to the forested hill, and see some more good stuff:
There are a bunch of score changes, probably most due to land points, although Ichabod's grown to size 4. Interestingly, we've caught up to him in growth, since we grow at the end of the turn - might be the first payback from the granary

I move the scout to the Ancient Tower - and discover where the Lion had moved to . Perhaps we'll be lucky again, but I don't have much confidence.

The new scout heads northwest, to do a clockwise loop around the capital with a primary emphasis on hopefully finding a good site for city #2 that doesn't require us to spread out all the way next to the Elohim. We start on a Warrior.

Unlucky about the scout - though I dare say I'd have done the same thing. Doesn't look like I'm missing much otherwise, but thanks for taking over for a little while.

Yes, hardly anything is happening at the moment.
You'll be back in action by Easter, right? I don't anticipate having much time that weekend, so it'd be a relief to turn the reins back over for a bit.

I'll be away somewhere else for Easter, but I'll have the net apparently (I've checked now ). I'll be fairly limited in time, but able to play the turns anyway.

Ok, so we'll play it by ear around Easter. It's vaguely possible that I'll have more time than I'm expecting, and it's also quite likely that everything will go slow, including the other players.
Opening up the save, I discover our scout has done it again! With two narrow escapes, being chased down by an angry Giant - I decide he deserves a name. Son of Veez, or Veeson for short He promotes to Combat I (in hopes of Guerilla II one of these days), and takes a breather on the tower.

To the north, our unnamed Ratman finds tundra and ice. I can't decide if this is a surprise or not . I'm still going to head northward for a bit, just in case Maksim decided to hide something nice up there.

Basically I'll make sure I'm on at least once a day, in the evenings, so it will be covered in any case.

Played T24. Not much noteworthy, except that Mitecha's still bearing down on Veeson. He'll probably have to book it before he finishes healing.
We should finish Mysticism at the end of the turn, opening us up nicely for your return, with a revolt into God King/Nationalism and the start of an Eldar Council.
You do get back today/tonight, right? I can keep playing if I remembered that wrong, but I figure you want to get back in the saddle.
