SG4-Immortality Scares Me

I do think it is time to amass an army and expand south. We will need a couple extra workers for jungle chopping. Make sure we don't lose our HE axe though.

I am thinking current settlers should go to those eastern islands I found, but they are awfully far away. What do you think Luddite, since you have more Immortal experience?

I agree that Sids would be awesome, but Corp will invalidate TGLH. Still probably worth it with FM. Which means we need to get another GMerchant somehow. Economics or running Merchants in the capital.

This might be the rare game where Globe and/or NE go in the capital instead of Oxford.

I don't see many good legendary sites to go for culture. Dom?

All governors are off, so watch tile micro closely.

As long as he's taken his third promotion and is at level 4 he's expendable.

Once the HE has been unlocked by promoting a unit to level 4 it remains unlocked even if the unit that unlocked it is dead/disbanded.

(note that a unit who is at 10/10 xp is *not* a level 4 unit until it uses the promotion)

Definitely NE in the Capital. That's an awesome GP farm.

Generating a GM for Sushi is easy if you're running caste system. wink

I don't see why we have to choose between the eastern islands or our main island. Let's do both! That way we won't need a huge number of workers for chopping down the jungle (although we'll still need some) and we won't go broke from maintenance on the islands. And it looks like we can take out the barb city with just the axes we have down there now, if we're lucky.

Do we really need Globe Theater in the capital? NE/Oxford can be a good combination too, even if you have to increase the culture slider to get enough happiness. We've got enough food surplus there to run 9 scientists or merchants! Although, I suppose if we run merchants in the capital it would make sense to bput globe thater somewhere else.

I was sort of assuming we wanted to go domination the whole timelol so probably at some point we'll need to switch into state property. There's no hurry though- we can wait for a late game force of marines/fighters, or tactictal nukes.

Didn't have time yesterday and won't be able to play today, sorry.
Feel free to pass me this time around.

If Luddite wants to grab it, he can. Otherwise we'll wait on you.

I could do it, but I think I'd rather just wait for Nakor. There's no rush, and since we've already lost 2 players it seems bad to skip people. I don't want to play this with just me and GES passing the save back and forth.

Okay, just wanted to let you guys know. I'll be able to play tomorrow in the evening, I think. Thankis for waiting for me!

Okay, I've found some time to play. Let's see if I don't mess things up to much. I feel we're pretty low on defense, so I might slip in some units...

Hit enter to start T120:
Forge done in MM. Will put some turns into a Market while regrowing. Not much else..

T121: Barcardi finishes a Trireme, Axe next. Sagria finished Lighthouse also an Axe next. Hooch finished a Granary and will start a Lighthouse first. Trireme and Galley with settler set sail for the sheep (got to gamble). Science down to 50% to finish Compass

T122:
Science down to 0%. I'm not in the mood to attack with Axes, so will try to get some swords. Better to be safe then lucky...

T123:

We need some triremes around!
Whipping a forge for 3 in ST, a Courthouse for 2 in Woodford.

T124:
Axe done in Bacardi, onto another Axe. Courthouse done in Woodford, onto a Trireme. Forge done in ST, back to Library.
Whipped Lighthouse in Knob Creek.

T125:
Knob Creek onto an Axe. Going 5 against 3 maybe... We loose a WB to a Barb Galley.
Axe done in Sangria building a Trireme to sail south.
MM is at happy cap, so going to build a Settler there.
Clam juice whips a Granary for 2pop, Lighthouse next.

T126:
Blanton finished a FW, onto an Axe.
We meet:

And we have a new adition on what seems like a big island:

Moonshine whips a Granary.

T127:
Library done in ST, Galley next. Granary done in Moonshine, Lighthouse next. Granary done in Ridgemont, Library next.
And there are more barb galleys. Pretty annoying.

T128:
Axe done in Bacardi, Galley next.
And we meet:
Sign OB and trade cows for clams.

T129:
Lighthouse done in Hootch, Courthouse next. Settler done in MM, back to Market. Do another round of Micro. We're almost ready to head for CS. And we can get Poly in a trade. I'll leave that up to Luddite.

Looking good. That big island seems like a really good place to settle.

We're so far ahead of the AIs, despite out settler spamlol At this point the barbs seem more dangerous than the AI civs. Although I guess we still haven't met that runaway civ.

Have we taken out the barb city yet? I might try to do that with axes, since we've already unlocked the HE.
Reply

Haven't taken out the barb city. There are 3 archers and our 4 axes seem like a bit to tiny a force with most axes having just 28% chance of winning.

I think we need to keep expanding but should focus on getting a better military and more triremes to stay safe.
