Thanks guys, I'm nowhere near this competent in normal MP games. You should have seen me last night, completely panicking and dying to a dozen warriors and a couple of archers after a failed choke (I was too busy seeking copper, and I wasn't blocking key tiles).

You'll find out my naming scheme in 22 turns (1 datapoint a trend does not make).

PBEM/Pitboss games are much closer to SP than MP. Many people make the mistake of trying to play a PBEM/PB like a MP game and it usually results in failing miserably.

Is that what this is? I didn't know it was an AW CTON. That admittedly tilts it back a little more in the other direction. Still though, like SP the game is likely to be won by those who economically develop their civ the best rather than the best tactician.

Yeah, it was mentioned during the planning thread. Could someone post a full list of rules? Like, no spies, nukes, but what else? War elephants?

Also, I think Ioan mentioned in his PB4 thread that he's going to be away until Monday (prob over 48 hours), which is a problem when T0 still hasn't fully cycled.

Huh, so it isn't always war. Well that makes it easier, there's a bit of a psychological hurdle between "meet someone" and "ravage their sheep" if you need to physically wardec. Still, I always thought CTON assumed AW (source)

Its alowed for example just to offer open borders in game or this is seen like negocietion?
