SG4-Immortality Scares Me

T199: Press enter. We have oil underneath Bacardi.

T200: Communism in. I put us on Physics, because Caesar just got Scientific Method. Put Buffalo Trace on Kremlin. Try to find stone, but we don't have it and neither does anyone else. It will take 39 turns. Blarg.

I want to get some workshops up to speed up SoL.

I made this trade with Sulieman:

And this trade with Ramesses:

State Property costs us 95 bpt at max science, but saves 140 gpt. Definitely worth it, plus the hammer bonus. Lose 140 beakers, and save only 100 gold revolting into SP/Slavery. Free Speech would cost another 50 beakers, and save 30 gold at max science. Probably not time for it yet.

For now, I am going to revolt to just SP. I will save the GSpy to trigger our second GAge, and then trigger a GAge with our free GScientist.

T201: Just shuffling stuff.

T202: Ramesses cancels marble for 11gpt deal, and I remake it for 8gpt. I refused to trade Liberalism and 815g for Chemistry. We would gain 700 beakers in the trade, but we can turn 815 gold into ~3500 beakers during the coming Golden Age, which is way more than Chemistry, so I reject it. Harbor done in Jamesons, onto Library, which should add 10-12 bpt at max science. While CH's would be super useful in FM/Sids, they are mostly useless in SP. The build of Forbidden Palace won't do much either. Palm completes longbow, onto forge.

Receive this goofy quest:

T203: Ssal completes Observatory, onto Bank.

T204: Physics in. Onto Chemistry for extra workshop hammer. After this, I am not sure where to go. Corporations might be right, but I don't want to invalidate TGLH yet. I am going to run gold for two turns, and then trigger a GAge, which we can follow-up with a second GAge with our next GScientist and the GSpy. Honestly, if we wanted to not use the GEngineer, we could probably get 3 GAges in a row. But SoL 15 turns earlier might be better. Granary in, onto LH in Whales.

T205: Another GScientist born in capital. We now have two GScientist, GSpy, and GEngineer. We can get 2 GAges off that, we just need to make sure we don't accidentally use the GEngineer on GAge #2. Trigger GAge #1, and fire specialists that won't lead to GPersons to work GAge tiles and grow. Suleiman was just destroyed by Caesar and Charlemagne. Mausoleum finished in Sangria, onto Barracks for military build-up. First workshop finished at Bacardi. Bringing workers back to workshop main island.

T206: Wild Turkey onto Observatory.

T207: Chemistry in, onto Steel in 3-turns. Kremlin down to 13 turns. SoL can be rushed in 7-8 turns in Bacardi. Forbidden Palace finishes in Pisang, onto 5-turn Bank. This will be a future troop pump. Jameson's finishes library, onto 9-turn bank. Forge done in Harrapan, onto 3-turn library.

T208: With another workshop, we'll be able to rush SoL at Bacardi in 6-turns, the turn our GAge finishes. Reject Charlemagne's request:

T209: Clam Juice onto forge. Sangria finishes barracks, to bank. Whales finishes LH, onto forge. Throwing up watermills for 2/1/2 tiles at Whales in tundra. Moving workers to workshop at Knob Creek. We need to mine uraniam at Sangria.

Our empire:

Demos, inflated by GAge, but catching up in food:

Capital, which is a sick GP-farm:

Bacardi building SoL. We can rush this with GEngineer in five turns. Make sure we do this, as I think we are racing Ramesses:

Kremlin only due in 11-turns if we trigger a back-to-back GAge with the GScientist and Gspy:

Okay, where to go next? Luddite, what do you think?
Going for Industrialism to get factory's and war with Marines/Tanks/Artillery?
Reply

I was thinking RR-->Combustion for Destroyers. Then we get carriers and marines or something and go tear ass on their coastal cities.

Also, Luddite still thinks Sids is the right play for moving back and forth.

Nakor, the most important micro thing for you is to make sure that you GEngineer rush SoL on the turn where our current production will put us over 800 hammers invested at EOT. That should be in 4-5 turns. I think we may be racing Ramesses for it.

Luddite suggested to me that we can probably go after Ragnar soon since he is technologically inferior.

We also need to decide if we are going to trigger an immediate second GAge to with the GScientist and GSpy in the capital. This will speed up Kremlin by 7 turns, in addition to added GAge boni.

Also, take a look at the cities every so often and assign any specialists not in MM to work tiles while in the GAge. After the GAge ends, reassign useless tiles to specialists. Probably engineers where possible.

That picture of the Maoi city during a golden age is so pretty smile

I would say get combustion and flight first, so that we can build up our navy while keeping the great lighthouse bonus as long as possible.
Reply

Combustion and Flight it is then.
Do we want back to back GAges?

I'll play in about 12 hours.
Reply

My gut says yes, mainly because once Kremlin is finished, we are likely to start whipping off tiles, so we might as well trigger it while we can:

a) Grow for more pop to whip

b) Have more pop to work GAge tiles

Also, getting Kremlin faster is totally worth it.

We can probably squeeze out one more GAge, but after that, I am skeptical that another GAge can repay what four GPersons would give us (if we even got four more all game). The exception would be if we thought we could take Mausoleum.

Okay, loading up the game and taking a look around to get a bit more feel for it again.

Then I hit end turn.

T210: Steel finished, onto Rep Part to go for Steam - RR - Combustion line.
Ceasar cancels our deal and he won't sign a good new one.
Library done in Harrapan, Harbor next.
Not a lot more to do so end the turn

T211: Charles ends his deal with us as well. And disaster strikes:

There goes our plan. Bacardi can build an Observatory for now. Granary done in Duvel, LH next.

And we have huge health/happy problems do to the ended deals. Don't know what to do now, so I'm going to wait and ask for input from you guys.

Best I can do:

Sell horses to Ramesses for 8gpt.

Then trade marble and 5 gpt to KK for furs.

Then trade our only sheep to Caesar for rice, since we have granaries everywhere, but no supermarkets.

Hmm. Sucks that we lost the Statue, but I think we'll be fine without it. At least Ramesses got it right? Not Augustus?

We just need to trade for whatever we can get to fix our health/happy problems temporarily, and then whip infrastructure as soon as the Kremlin is done.
