Turn 16 [for only the 2nd time, I'm playing within my allotted time-slot, but I have the turn twice within 24hrs so that's a bonus]
So ... Warrior renamed EltonJohn ... decided he needs to say "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" and like a "Rocket Man" , "Step Into ... " ... umm, just head north dammit!!

Shouldn't you let Craven Cottage grow before you start building the worker and settler? that would add extra food, making them finish faster.

true, but I'm chopping them out
ooh ... the turns around again
Turn 17
The [known] world according to Garp:
And the mildly depressing demos:
Actually, city growth would be good, so I've delayed expansion by promoting the Work Boat above the Settler, I wanted to work the Crab tile next anyway to improve the tech/GNP rate.
And amended tech path, promoting Masonry so I can hook up the Marble to assist wonder building:
Animal Husbandry -> Mysticism -> Masonry -> Meditation -> Priesthood ->Wheel -> Pottery -> Hunting -> Archery -> Monarchy

The counter says 2 turns for the chop .. I now expect that to come in next turn
Apart from that, nothing new to report.
Anyone got thoughts on a highly attractive songstress to spam this thread with? I do still have those Shakira pics, but I feel the need for an Italian [Roman] or Chinese lady to grace this thread

Chop in, so only 2 turns left on JoeOShea ... there's bugger all else for George to do until Animal Husbandry completes, so he's going to do another chop ... it'll go into the Work Boat, that in turn will mean the improved Crabs will speed up the Settler that's queued and improve the tech rate for the religion path ... win, win in my book.
The demos look weird ... someone actually dropped in GNP, was that the same person who's Power jumped up? I enjoyed being 1st in something not totally pointless

Two new city sites located:
I'll gloss over Dove Cottage for now ...
Yup, that's Copper up there!! Maybe I'll settle Duracell Cottage before Dairy Cottage ... No, wait, the Marble will fuel a Wonder grab, right? But the hammers from a Copper Mine would also help? Can anyone do some number crunching, please?
Duracell Cottage: Copper Mine & Clams with Fishing Boats [have all required techs]
versus
Dairy Cottage: Pastured Cows, Pastured Pigs (2), Quarried Marble & Sugar Plantation [nearly finished Animal Husbandry, but need to tech Masonry, Sailing & Calendar]
At first glance Dairy Cottage is going to be a MONSTER ... but note the "going to be" ... whereas I can get Duracell Cottage up & running a lot quicker ... Gah! Decisions!!!

Found Stone on the coast near Dove Cottage, so will move the marker 1 tile NE [where Dale was standing in the last screenshot, in fact] Might be worth shifting Rose Cottage 1 tile E.
Also, I've a feeling I'm in the North ... Elton spotted Ice across the water from The Copper, plus there's snow on the trees up there. The diva's requested his mink coat to be sent up ... bless him.
Was going to work the Crabs, but Joe can get to the Pigs by the time Animal Husbandry's in and that will be a 6food tile once improved, so Craven Cottage should grow again and then work both tiles by the time the settler starts building. Excellent, Smithers.

Ooh look ... we have a visitor[red circle]:
It's only a Scout, but I've switched production to a Warrior [FreddieMercury] and maximised hammers for this, and the next, turn. [George's chop looks like it will finish this Warrior off and maybe some overflow will go back into the Work Boat]. Joe has started to chop the hill 1 tile SW of Craven Cottage, but will move onto the Pigs next turn.
Moved the dot for Dove cottage and renamed the site as Clapham Common [I know there's Pigs elsewhere, but I couldn't resist ]
Dale's found Rice near the Flood Plains, let's hope there's a defensive spot nearby for a city dot.
Damn! That Gold's isolated!! Elton found Sheep near Duracell Cottage, maybe it's worth moving that dot where he's standing as there's Fish to the North, Those Clam can be worked by a city that'll take in the Silk and Pigs over the water.
And did anyone spot the announcement?
Animal Husbandry completed at EOT! See the green circle? That's Horse, that is!! So George will be Pasturing them next.

Scouts can't take Workers, right? Hope that's the deal as Joe will be very exposed when he moves onto the Pigs, but Freddie completed at EOT [the 13 chop-hammers finished his build and I estimate 10 hammers overflow into the Work Boat - need to find another hammer from somewhere] so I could move him to cover.
Dale found Cows beside the Rice and a defensible hill-top for a dot. Elton's still moaning about the cold, so I guess I tell him to head home next turn. This frees Freddie for anti-scout duty.
Ooh, decided hooking up the Horse is a kind of priority so have started teching The Wheel, so the schedule now looks like:
Wheel -> Mysticism -> Masonry -> Meditation -> Priesthood -> Pottery -> Hunting -> Archery -> Monarchy

No - since the capturing of a worker constitutes an attack, which scouts cannot, your worker should be safe.
It is a different story in ffh in which scouts can attack.
