T38 played. This is the critical turn - our great lighthouse is half done. If someone else completes it we'll have wasted four chops.
Our workboat has no choice but to keep heading north. I think E-W will be the longest stretch to circumnavigate, so he'll turn east as soon as possible.

These number are actually unchanged this turn. We're at 4-3-1 after ending turn.

So now you can sim out microplans for StM as well?
If I start doing that you're officially allowed to question my sanity.
I have to run.

Brilliant work, although is it missing a bit in the NW that we know.
So our planned NE city is very close to StM's island arm.

Yeah, the map is designed for conflict. Many of the sites on those island arms are closer to us, and awfully tempting to settle. Both the wines in the northeast and the jungle gems in the southeast are closer to our capital than to Shoot the Moon's. Those sites might be hard to defend though, but we should maybe discuss this with Shoot the Moon eventually. Explain that we'd either want our own cities over there, or open borders, or both.
One good thing about our proximity is that our Moai city's borders will touch the borders of Shoot's second city, giving (both of) us trade routes without further scouting.
I have to run.

Turn played. We got The Great Lighthouse! And we met Darrell, our borders are almost touching.
Screenshots later.

Okay, pictures from T39.
First, a curious phenomenon. Can you spot it?

Anyway, those pesky forests blocking the view around Investment finally had to go. Here's the result:
Also, the borders of Seaside expanded, establishing contact with Darrell and revealing that he is a very close neighbour of ours.
And the not so good news:
I have to run.

Changed to 4-3-2 (StM), 4-2-2, 5-3-1 and 4-3-3-1. Or shuffle those sizes around a bit, those are the correct sizes at least. Population leader has 5-3-1, and straggler has 4-2-2. We have 4-3-1.
Or, in order of workable tiles:
15 tiles: 4-3-3-1
12 tiles: 5-3-1
12 tiles: 4-3-2
11 tiles: 4-2-2
11 tiles: 4-3-1 (us)
I have to run.

Heh, does that mean we can contact darrell or not?
Anyway, I will send an email to Shoot saying that we have met darrell, giving Shoot darrell's location, and asking Shoot whether we can tell darrell that we have already met Shoot.

Message to Shoot:
Quote:And it turns out that things are getting quite intimate on this map. We have found darrell's borders, which are located a mere 3 turns south of our southern fish.
May we say to darrell that we've met you?
Thanks regarding the missionary - we didn't expect anything soon.
