Thanks guys

Great games folks! :war:

A real nice start to get a bunch of BNs going. Two teams of 4-5 players each around clvl 12, suprisingly, all melee classes except Zed's BNAmz. One team is at OC wp while the other one went a little further to IC wp with the same clvls.

Wow, nice tight coop so far! I am impressed. Everybody stayed within sight of each other, and just as importantly, knew when to pull back together (luring) when the going got tough. Spliting up the monsters (each player positioning to get at diffeferent monsters of a mob) was a good tactic, that was mostly responsible for equal lvling. (just remember not to steal that PD Necro's kill)

AND, no PK so far! Woohoo :D

What we have so far:
CB - Poison Dagger necro
Zed - Bow Zon and Druid (bear, not wolf?)
Shadow - Smiter and Baba
Hawkmoon - Melee Asn
Khan - Dagger Zon (not sure if he's serious)
KoP - Melee Zon with Plague as main curse, and melee Pally (thinking Sacrifice as main attack)

Folks looking to join up with the fun, it is not too late to start one up while we are still young. Making a character to lvl 9 or 12 on your own is okay, otherwise, wait to team up with new characters.

I am also going to make a BNS to go with Zed's Zon, for a ranger team.

Thanks for a great night of gaming. Looking forward to next week

First of all, that was a lot of fun !

Second, as noted by all, it is really difficult not to hit a companion. I found that was so particularly when surrounding a pack of monsters. Getting the cursor on the monster was tricky enough, but when the monster died, it was all too easy to find myself taking an extra whack on the companion.

Third, I also found an oddity with the Oak Sage. When it was under attack, it was sometimes not possible to get the cursor on the monster attacking it. Somehow they were overlaid?

Fourth, it was hilarious finding myself getting nipped in the ankles by a Spirit Wolf. Kicking dogs is not my usual M.O. but I found myself doing just that. :o

A quite reasonable start, I think! smile

As to my druid, well he wants Hunger for sure, so he will need some in both sides of the tree anyway. My original plan was for him to be a wolf but that could still undergo modification. I expect AR will be a worse problem than I thought even with the wolf's inherent AR bonus. The difficulty is a druid has little natural incentive to pump dex, since he is fastest with and typically uses str-based 2h weapons, so there's very little base AR for the +% from skills to magnify. Normally this is compensated for by off-weapon AR, which is not an option in this case, so I'll have to try and come up with some other way around this particular problem. Other melee classes that use shields and/or weapons partly based off dex (daggers, javs, claws) might have a bit more success.

The spirit wolf was a good addition, an extra tank. The oak sage seemed to get in the way a lot. Unfortunately it's a large critter and it moves like a ghost in that it can go overtop of things. I found that it kept dying, I assumed to AoE from Fists of Fire, but potentially also from other players attacking it to get at monsters it was hiding. I expect to have to recast wolf from time to time, but I usually expect a spirit to stick around for a while, even if it is pretty stupid and doesn't move when it's getting whacked on. smile I found the clay golly from the first game to be annoying 'cause it kept slowing me down! I'd have rather taken potshots from a spirit wolf than from the golly...

I think I'd rather focus on my bowzon. I'm right now thinking that my druid is unlikely to see a lot of play time and might well get deleted. I might give him a bit longer to see if he gets better first, though. We'll see.

in about half an hour from now. ShadowBNA (Martial Artist) and DefLeper-BND (Rabies as curse), both clvl 9 are afk in RBD1. Good time to start a new char or bring in older one. We can switch if needed.

ShadowBNA will eventually be a Blade Fury Assassin, who will cast Cloak of Shadows to remove any vestige of defence from her companions and will also cast Mind Blast to stun the enemy, although, given her notable lack of coordination, she will also likely stun her companions once in a while too.

In yesterday's game, Andariel was vanquished. We had only two PK incidents in the game, both the result of insufficiently fast potion quaffing, I think.

And I just have to comment. Having Ravens peck at you is a marvellous way to be urged to get back into combat so they will have monsters to peck instead of you. :D

Too bad Oak Sage gets in the way too much. Guess I'd have to figure another way to get more hp.

Just got a BNS to lvl 9. Desyncs was going to be cold and fire but I think she is going the Enchantress route with javs and bows. That would leave her lots of points for all sorts of curses lol

Static Field - does not do % of PvP damage - Or it could be doing a very small percentage (not likely). It was tested with 2 different strengths of SF on 2 characters with different amount of HP, simultaneously. Both targets reported about the same amout of damage.

Enchanted - Once cast on partner(s) the effect will remain for its full duration even after:
going hostile
caster left game

Loophole
