Kind of a weird email from plako

I notice that the one that was the initiator of our debacle has undermined the effort to slow you down. I thought our effort was common one, but apparently not.

In this situation I don't have any other option then than to swallow my pride and hope we can recover our relationship. I don't need anything else but a long NAP for opening my borders. I'll spread my EPs around the ones I can including you since unfortunately there are long term deals that prevent me to direct them as I would like. Despite of all this I hope we can still work together. Probably not as friends at first, but maybe later after we've proved ourselves again.

So to be clear, the reason I think that the email is odd is that my first reaction is that he's talking about Lord Parkin

One reading of it is that Parkin approaches plako about possibly cooperating against us. plako takes a hard line against us, but then we sign a deal with parkin, and now that plako wants to continue exploring attacking us, parkin has backed out

It just seems weird because it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense for Parkin to do that.

But I"m not sure who else he could be talking about?

Okay that sounds good. I will discuss with sunrise about whether we want to sign a NAP right now. At the very least though, I think it makes sense to try to avoid militarizing the border. Where are you planning on putting your pigs city?

Also luddite hit me up on IM yesterday basically saying that parkin wants his help in a war vs. plako, and plako wants his help in a war vs. parkin.

I stayed non-committal and he also seemed to want to stay out of it.
