Nice work. Ah peace at last...

It will be interesting to see the effect of settling those two cities. On the one hand, it's a decent boost to trade routes. On the other, expenses will hurt. Mind you, our research isn't bad at 20% thanks to those scientists.

Things aren't looking too bad now we are at peace. The timing worked really well to "steal" those two spots. Looks like a settler is on the way for our fourth island city.

Settling the corn island didn't hurt our economy - in fact it did it a bit of good. It generates 8g plus 7g from intercontinental trade routes. The next two cities will also do that.

EDIT: Beakers up 3, gold up 15, costs up 12. Profit!

Yeah, like Spaceman said we have secured two spots, and settling the first of them was a slight plus to the economy.

Darrell unloaded a spearman but no settler to the island. He has a settler on the mainland that will presumably refound Hong Kong.

Financial advisor. Leftmost numbers are numbers after settling Farmer's Market. (Science increased as well but that's because I hired some scientists elsewhere before taking the second screenshot).

Here's why settling Farmer's Market wasn't a larger net plus.

I took some screenshots from our cities but I reckon we can go through all the cities in a T75 update.

So we're settling on the iron so it can't be pillaged?

Yeah, and for defendability. The only alternative, really, is settling on the gems.

Yeah, that's where I thought you might settle, really just because it is closer to our lands and further away from rego's.

I went back and forth on it, for me it was a coinflip. Do you think settling on the gems is better?

That depends on whether we think it will be easy for them to pillage the iron.

Well that's part of the question, isn't it? If we settle on the gems we need to defend the city and the iron tile. So it will be easier for them to remove our iron if we settle on the gems, but we'll have a stronger city if we settle on the gems.

I guess I vote for settling on the iron since the settler's already there and we'll be more likely to regret settling on the gems.
