So? Every other reviewer out there also gave Civ5 a good score. There are reasons for this, and they apply to Angry Joe just as much as to everyone else.
Regardless, at this point all you can take away from Joe himself is that he's excited. Maybe there's a reason for it? Take a look at the video and see for yourself.

Oh it looks good, but there was exactly nothing given out about how the game will play or how well it's put together. But to be honest I'm not going to be jumping for joy on this one until I see the end product (been burnt once too often by games promising much but not delivering). And my comment about Joe and Civ 5 was that if it were a genre he knew more about he would have ripped the game to shreds, no doubt about that. But 4X is not his forte, so needs to be treated with more caution.

Impulse has SotS1 on sale again, this time for a week. 85% off! That makes it what, $3? Pocket change.
Also there's been a fair number of articles about SotS2 in a variety of places, as well as video from Angry Joe regarding the Fan Gathering Demo at PAX and what was presented there. Check out the Kerberos Production forums for more info.
SotS2 now has a target release date of Oct28, which means we should be looking for a gold announcement in the next 3 weeks. At this point since that's pretty close at hand I don't think they will miss the date unless they discover a showstopper late in the test cycle. But I would expect there will likely be a release day patch. It will certainly not be bug free at launch but Kerberos has a good reputation about supporting their games.
