[SPOILERS - PBEM17] novice and spaceman - Suryavarman of India

Yay! Lurker thread activity! So, Nicolae, is it silly to research to knights and then sign NAPs with everyone?
I have to run.

Heh, nicely crossing the boundary.

Save's just in. It'll be something like 7 hours before I get to play it, though.

Updated on diplo. Chatting to oledavy:

21:56 me: so are you after an NAP?

21:57 David: has Darrell spoken to you?

me: sorry for the rather abrupt opening!

yeah

David: lol, it's okay

yes I'm amicable to it

with the understanding that one is being signed with Darrell and Shoot as well

me: yes of course

21:58 David: indefinite with 10 turn cooldown period?

me: war with the world, peace with the world

yeah that's the one

David: then you have a deal smile effective as soon as Darrell and Shoot give consent on their ends

21:59 me: super

22:00 David: pleasure doing business

me: indeed

This was yesterday. I replied to Shoot today:

Quote:OK, let's go with 7 turns if that's close to the quick speed equivalent. Consider it signed from our end.

T93 played. The Great Scientist was indeed used to bulb Education, leaving it just two turns away.

Here's the north. Economic builds mostly, with missionaries started in Net Profit and Cash Cow - not many cities left to convert now. A granary was whipped in Cornered Market, as I farmed over the cottage SE of Investment. Two workers started on the silks.

I hired a couple of scientists at Trading Post.

It would be good to get Oxford University up as soon as possible, so we should build universities soon everywhere - it will also give us more scientist specialists.

In the south/east, I whipped a courthouse in Flooded Market (heh, we have too many cities called Market - it's a bit confusing).

Here's the west - a missionary has been loaded onto the galley and will head to Farmer's Market, probably. I've left Tipping Point building a barracks, but I may well switch that build given the NAPs. Or it's a cheap build to whip soon.

Finally, the demographics.

We should check out the T92 save to see who has paper (can trade maps). And we need a worker at HostileTakeover.

Will that work? Can't we trade maps with anyone now we have Paper? EDIT: Ignore me - you were referring to last turn. I will check now.

Incidentally, oledavy immediately gave rego the heads up that we had researched Paper last turn, before rego had even seen the turn.

Yeah, I was planning to send a worker down there shortly to hook up the spices (and cottage the grassland, I suppose). There's a galley there waiting to transport the worker (in Flooded Market).
