ChannelledFunds then? I think Channeled Funds is a valid spelling.

I thought being cryptic would appeal to you.

It's valid in US English perhaps... (OK, I appreciate it's possibly an acceptable variant in British English too).

EDIT: Ooh, that's where the Pyramid Scheme settler can go! Plus escorting longbow. Good spot.

Indeed. And I don't think we swap maps at this point.

The question is: who do we want to get the Taj Mahal? You seemed happy about rego not getting Liberalism earlier. But we don't want darrell getting ahead.

We don't want MoM and TM to go to the same player, at least. I'm guessing pindicator is on MoM right now. In fact we could check using C&D.

Odd tech path by Dave, I wouldn't think he has any pressing need for Philo, unless he's gunning for TM too, which seems optimistic.
I have to run.

Shoot is probably building it too since he didn't rush it. Or it wasn't his GE.

Regarding trade missions, it might be more profitable to send a merchant to Shoot, as he has harbours. We've had peace for ~25 turns, so add 10 turns until the mission, and trade route modifiers should be:

+100% from intercontinental
+105% from peace
+50% from harbour

This will be applied to a base profit of 1.4 if we choose a city more than 13 tiles away, and rounded down.

That should work out to 4 commerce without and 5 commerce with a harbour.

So a trade mission to Darrell would be worth 0.67*(500 + 4*200) = 867 gold, and a trade mission to Shoot would be worth 1000 gold.

That would be sweet justice - plus we own several tiles on Shoot's island, which will make it easy enough to send our GM into his lands.

Yep. We need to find a suitable city though, probably on his east coast.

BTW if Shoot had a GE it would probably bulb Engineering, not guilds.

No he didn't... He still lacks the prereqs (civil service or theology) so Paper doesn't even show up in the "can research" column, which threw me. Sorry for leading us down a garden path.

Playing but not sent yet (no rush since they'll not be up for hours...).

No foreign news but rego's GNP has gone crazy - presumably this is a switch to max science with research bonuses.

Here are the T98 demographics:

Top. I started another missionary in Gold Rush for ChannelledFunds. I decided to whip the courthouse in Trading Post for overflow into a university. I switched a plains hill to the new cottage in Capital.

Middle. Forge whipped in Hostile Takeover, settler switched to be due in one in Pyramid Scheme.

Bottom. double-whipped Market whipped in Farmer's Market since it can grow back quickly.

We're a bit short of galleys round here since we want one to unload the Great Merchant in about 6-7 turns, and one to take a settler to newly discovered island. I sent the northern galley round the NW coast to see if it can help out.

EDIT: Actually, given our plan to unload the Great Merchant in Shoot's lands, the SW galley is free to transport the settler.
