I'll start. This spot made me build settlers unusually fast. 3x Wild Game, Nightshade, and Coal. Yes, I'm playing Myrran Klackons :-).

Not bad at all! Myrror just makes your mouth water sometimes smile I recall some really juicy dwarf towns, netting 20+ power easily from the word go.

And I see you already have your hands on Adamantium.
Pity that Klackons can't build an Alchemist's Guild ;-).

Oh come on ! That's my capitol. If I started with Adamantium it would be awful. I have a rainbow wizard (1 book in everything except Life), I can enchant my bugs to hit tricky stuff.

Ss'sra is already dead, killed by my engineers and some phantom warrior spam. It would be much harder if I wasted more time (dwarves vs klackons !). Steam cannons started showing up. No Famous, Charismatic or Alchemy... and I got 3 Warlock mercenaries !

Note the enemy wizard, too.

I don't have a screenshot, but in the game from last night, I had a prolonged war with Oberic's Klackon empire. Eventually with the help of 2 stacks of elite slingers, I fought all the way to the door steps of Klackon capital. I was ready for a long tough battle to take the castle. Guess what? When I got there...there was not a single troop left alive in the castle!!! Apparenly Oberic had pissed off Tauron, and got hit by Chaos Rift!!!

I just started playing MoM again after about 15 years. Some great info on here.

Anyway, maybe this isn't that uncommon but my capital city spawned on top of a nature node in one game.

My magic spirit could meld without having to fight, but once I moved a unit outside of the city I couldn't get back in without fighting cockatrices.

This also meant that enemy units in the early game died to the cockatrices without being able to attack my city. All battles in the city took place on the nature node map.

Welcome Myrrorball. I've never seen that happen! Which version of MoM were you using? It's a well-known abuse that you can plane shift on top of a node and meld it that way, but never heard of this. Not a bad start smile

That's a funny bug. It haven't seen it.

You want to kill them once strong AI armies show up. Loot in lairs is pretty good. They may steal it.

I wonder how battles on a node city will look like ! With there be the effect that counters non-nature spells ? It would be really good for you to put some Nature summons in there, they would get +3 to stats.
