Shipped the save ... after more than 2 hours in which I kept the save open ( OK - I ate in this time, too ). lol

Few more details for my lurkers :

- used the Great Scientist to start a 6-turn GA and, as a result, at EoT Currency was completed and Code Of Laws will be ready in 3 turns ! smoke
- Captured a barbarian worker from the razed city too - now I could forget the one which I lost to Nicolae 2 turns ago. lol
- Buddism spread in one of my city and, as a result, there is an unhappy face due to "Brothers and sisters in faith" ... frown
- Temple Of Artemis will be completed in 2 turns in capital - hope that I'll complete it and it will help my finance too. wink

Wow ... what a long suite of messages, no ? rolleye
And a lot of pictures too ... hope that you lurkers are satisfied now ... wink

Seems that Nicolae will play really late his turn today rolleye ... hope that just-walled-Lacrimioara will hold the line this turn if he decide to rush it ... or at least that the defenders will provoke some serious damages to attackers. bow

Not only that Nicolae managed to capture and raze my city but he did so with minimal losses !! banghead

I calculated that each of my defending catapult will knock an attacking axeman but ... this didn't happen. frown

Maybe I have a problem in understanding this game ... but I really don't understand Nicolae's approach. huh

He offers peace to me instead of rolling this stack towards my core cities - normally I accepted the offer. :P

Other news :

- Temple of Artemisa completed in capital ... not a spectacular increase in revenue ( yet - but I'm in GA so probably after will be more significant ) but still get +3 gold for each tread route with Sareln's cities. jive
- Code Of Laws completed at EoT - need to think what to research next ... probably Monarchy ( as there are some wines which wait to be exploited ).
- GingerEagle bring more units near the gates of Laur - but some nice defensive walls was just chopped there ... smile

Well ... maybe is not everthing lost ... despite the loss of my second-rich food city. rolleye

At begining of this turn Code Of Laws was completed and queued Sacrificial Altars in almost all my cities in order to reduce maintenance. In two of them those completed in 1 turn ( ! - nice to be organized, no ? jive ) ... and from +3 gold/turn my revenue jumped ( at EoT ) to +22 ! bow
I know that I'm still in GA but ... this is promising.

I choose Monarchy as the next research - it will be completed in 2 turns ... and let's hope that after this I'll be able to grow some really nice big cities. smoke

Regarding diplomacy - I choose to show my intention for collaboration with Sareln and give him my surplus of Gold ( resource ) for ... Rice. Demanded some money/turn too ... let's see if he is a reasonable guy or not. wink

Not too much to report ... whipped 2 more Sacrificial Altars and one will be chopped in Laur ( border-city with GingerEagle ) next turn.

Not sure what to research after Monarchy ... HBR could be an option in order to have quick-response defenders but Calendar and Metal Casting are good candidates too ... rolleye

Switched to Monarchy this turn - no additional cost occured. It's nice to be Organized sometime ... wink

And ... something really nice happened : as long as GingerEagle started to bring more units near city of Laur I decided to "check" one of his stack. Usual procedure : attacked with a catapult, intended to be the "sacrificial one", but ... it survive and retreat ! smoke
So ... another 3 units was mopped-up this turn ... which is nice for gathering some more experience. wink

HBR will be researched in 3 turns - few horse archers will fit nice to purpose of "fast reaction units".

Get visibility on Nicolae's research once more - he will complete Monotheism this turn. rolleye

Sareln and Nicolae signed peace - so probably this was just a "dummy war" in order to ensure a 10-turn peace between them ... so I start to belive that I'll be the target in next 3 turn. alright
