Yeah, it was something like 99%, but 'Bloodpet is too afraid to attack'

Seeing as an archer is now glowing, I assume the spectre suicided on them. Arwen'el is doomed!
After some thought, I decide to defend the corn with my bloodpets; the worker ought to be able to get to and from that tile without risk, and another source of food would be nice. At least we're nearly to Edu and hence being able to replace that cottage.
I assume it'll be straight on to Code of Laws from here? Then backtracking to Bronze?

Yeah, I see that difference in your screenshot and can't explain it. Well - 3 turns until the revolution, then all my new units get a promotion too .

Well - you won't be able to replace *that* cottage, as last I checked, Vampires can't build cottages on forests. Not to mention, why would Calabim be building cottages?

Are you going to revolt Apprenticeship as soon as it comes in? That's fine for Jkaen, with Spiritual, but in your case, I'd think you'd wait and piggyback it with Aristocracy, no? Maybe I'm paranoid (I've heard that elsewhere) but I think I'd not want to lose a turn of production/beakers while under a choke.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

If getting a couple of Bloodpets with promotions out might contribute to ending the choke earlier than would otherwise be possible, I think it might be worth suffering one turn of anarchy for it.

We did have a discussion in chat, and Mardoc thought he may be able to run the sums, but the thought was that 4 bloodpets each with 1 promotion is better than 5 bloodpets without

Specifically - against the archers, 4 bloodpets with combat I have approximately the same odds as 5 bloodpets with no promos. And I expect to need more than that anyway (especially now that that Spectre decided they needed the XP more than we did). Yes, we lose a turn of research as well - but conversely it's likely to get us closer to a broken choke, which means things like non-military builds and new cities.
If it weren't this specific situation of building only bloodpets, then I would delay the revolt until I could combine it with another.
Edit:

Yeah, don't remind me. It just means that I'll be transitioning faster to an aristograrian + mines economy, I suppose.

Well, we've got animals now:
Soon, soon we can start capturing these and using them instead of having to build all our military .
Plus they ought to decrease the odds of random harassment troops making it to us, if we can ever clean out those archers.
