Game questions I have to you

Hi!

In this thread I will ask questions about MOM things that I dont know, but need to know to advance the project. Ill try to find answers myself first, but I have very little time to check in-game, so any help is welcome.

First questions:

For mithril/adamantium weapon, do I need alchemist guild?
If yes, does alchemy retort work just as well?

How is experience awarded?

How does charmed work? Is it the same as 10 crosses?
What happens to a stoned figure? Is it dead? If so whats the difference between death touch and stoning touch?

To produce unit with mithril you need the alchemy guild.retort of alchemy wil not help.The difference between touches is resist element,at least.

10 crosses is not always enough, as you may be facing attacks with resistance penalties. It's the same as 50 crosses coding wise I think, for all practical purposes it just means that you always succeed any roll.

No difference, just different resistances. Abilities like that are also something to change IMO, they're plain boring and not very well thought out.

Sorry, just my two cents (full of enthusiasm right now)
If you plan to reimplement stoning remember how it works in RPGs. You should make it curable and auto-reversible after combat (unless the unit gets "smashed" to pieces while stoned! Then it shouldn't be revivable at all wink).
Would make the effect more interesting comparet to "simple death".

Catwalk forgot to mention that units also gain 1 experience point per day. It's quite an unique feature, and fairly meaningful considering you don't gain that much for combat.

To clarify: 2 xp points per unit killed in combat, but it doesn't matter who kills it, how it dies.

Does gold display in cities go to double-row? At how many gold?

And death undead cannot gain expiriens at all,except its stacked with armmaster hero.

Does it matter what type of ranged attack a unit has?
Is bow equivalent to rocks, or is there a difference?
Is chaos magical ranged attack different from sorcery type?

Bullets vs. javelins vs. arrows? No. Magic vs. mundane? Yes, big difference. Magic ranged attacks are not increased by Flame Blade or Lionheart, while mundane attacks are. Magic ranged attacks don't have any to-hit penalties for distance to target. Magic ranged attacks are negated by magic immunity; mundane ranged attacks are negated by missile immunity.

I believe big rocks (catapults, ships) are not affected by Guardian Wind or Warp Wood.

Different graphics and sound effects. Spells that give resistance or immunity to one type of magic will negate ranged attacks of that type. Node bonus applies to ranged attacks of the appropritate type.
