Well, finally getting copper should help a bit with our power rating, even if it is mostly cosmetic. I am more convinced than ever that we need Necromancy ASAP. There doesn't seem to be anything of comparable strength we could get within a similar time period. When we get copper we may well want to start building or upgrading to some swordsmen, if only to help our power graph and capturing Kabhalg. I don't like it much, but I like being dead last in power even less. Appearances count for a lot in a no-diplo game.

Yeah, I definately agree. I think our tech path should be Hunting(Finish it) -> BW -> Knowledge of the Ether -> Necromancy, improve nodes to Death. I counted and we have 4 or 5 nodes: Both of which, when our starting Adept is able to be upgraded to Metamagic II, will be enough to work with for a Mage army/Insta-Death III Gibbon. Giving Gibbon Death III free should also improve Twincast time. Swordsman may be nessecary, but only enjoyableEvening and City D have the production for it.

Exactly. I don't know if this is too obvious, but remember to leave a node free so we can turn it into Metamagic later.

Technically, we don't need too if it becomes an issue: Our starting Adept is Metamagic I, so he can become a support Metamagic II Mage(Though this, ofc, runs the chance of him dying and us being locked out of Metamagic w/o a new node...).

Oh. Right. I forgot that. Still, unless we end up in a losing war between now and Sorcery, losing our adept shouldn't be an issue, so long as we keep him off the front lines.

Yeah, exactly.
Anyway, played turn. Not much happened: My Workers at familyFun are building the first Farm(3T), my other Worker is pre-farming City D's Rice(4T), Heroic Strength Warrior attacked and killed a Skeleton @ 95.6% odds to get to 5/5 EXP...
I found something interesting: "Liberate" is an option on the Diplo screen for familyFun compared to Bob. Therefor, I believe Bob to be our leftwards neighbor, who saw us with a Floating Eye. And that was all for the turn.
Next turn, the Great Scientist pops @ Dark Carnival, which will work the Farm with the scientist population once popped as it builds a Settler now that 2 Warriors are done for City D. The Academy will as stated before go to familyFun.

Oh, and this interesting little note...
Perhaps Doc's power was so high because he was dealing with barbs, given the drop? Shrug.
Bob's power leap...I wonder if he got the Lizard even too, given his earlier power leap, and is now capturing animals? Or maybe Golems give high power rating or something.

Turn played, but nothing really happened. enjoyableEvening grew, a Great Bard was born somewhere else, everrything else is going according to plan and Cu Roi was born elsewhere.
I also realized we do not need to settle the copper city to get copy: The Academy @ familyFun should gie 4 CPT and it needs 50 Culture to grab the copper. That's 13 turns I believe to 50 culture, so we will get the copper in our borders long before we settle it. So we can choose a different city first.

Well, if we don't need to found a copper city, then let's focus our efforts elsewhere. At this point, my only preferencei s that we get our production city up fast.
Golems do get a pretty high power score in the graphs, IIRC they count for double what an axeman does or something like that. That was in one of the Luchuirp threads, but I can't remember which one exactly. Except that it wasn't for this PBEM, obviously .

Bob is really expanding over there: He just got out another city! Yeezh!
Great Scientist will arive 2T from now and I believe make an Academy 1T after that. So we'll keep up in science, anyway.
Dark Carnival fires it's Scientist and puts him on the farms, while enjoyableEvening hires a Merchant to try and get the second GP in a reasonable amount of time(Thanks to running a Scientist there some earlier, the pool is already polluted this time, so the Merc works). EOT, Thane finishes at enjoyableEvening and Hunting is discovered: BW is a 4t tech, so we can actually get ANOTHER tech before it and still have BW before we can hook up our copper. I think we should go for KotE first so we can make some Adepts and then swing over to BW.
