As long as D3 is not a total disaster, I will be on board with the rest of the RB crew. Probably even if it is a disaster, for that matter...

I've always said It's not the game, but the people you play with. What I am most worry about is my lack of moderation. Just when I think I am getting somewhere (leveling up) with my artistic endeavors ... ![]() KoP
Forgive me for derailing the thread a bit, but I found this mentioned in context of upcoming Diablo III release ( yes, the author was unhappy about visual style chosen ).
Gameplay / Trailer video 1 Gameplay / Trailer video 2 I have to say, it does look good. So, Path of Exile, anyone heard anything about it? KingOfPain Wrote:Sullla speaks THE TRUTH! I am torn on that comment. As with Sullla, I will play D3 regardless, if only for the the chance to play in the company of the RBD folks. I have no artistic skill nor do I feel any desire to work on it. But I sure have been enjoying seeing the fruits of your labour. Please keep up that good work somehow too?

World of warcraft is a mmrpg with those features that they will put on diablo III. You character get stored on the server and all those stuff...
That does not stop the existence of thousands of WoW private servers around the world... soon or later you will connect to battle.net on 127.0.0.1 ...
Actually, I'll be buying the original as well which is really rare from where i come from, simply because i want to play with the RB gang. Reading all of the D2 parties have made me want to join as well.
About the money market, I'll set it for myself that i will not use money to buy anything in this game, ever. Unfortunately, in terms of selling, I won't know how i'll react to that one... Unfortunately, in terms of selling, I won't know how i'll react to that one... That's the thing that worries me. If I find something valuable and decide to keep it I'm still effectively out the same amount of money if I had bought it. Will it be fun to find a great rare drop and then have to agonize over whether or not to sell it or keep it? I don't think I'll like that influencing my game play. Of course, it very well could be that everything is inexpensive enough that it won't really matter. Quote:Of course, it very well could be that everything is inexpensive enough that it won't really matter.Hehe, the way it most likely work out is what you have to sell is inexpensive, but what you want to buy will cost you. Some predictions: The Auction House might even turn out to be a boom for "professional" gold/item farmers now that they have a legit open market to sell. Average to good items will sell relatively cheap, but they will make up and exceed their previous profit by much increased volume because the market is openly within easy access to everyone who play the game. No guilt and no worry about being hacked or what not. Uber items and/or characters would still maintain their high prices they once demanded. Simply, the nut cases would go to extreme lengths (grinding) or pay for something that's marginally "better" or just look different. Eventually, someone will attempt to sue Bliz for having paid real cash for a dupe ![]() KoP
I'm looking forward to what happens when Blizzard starts sending out 1099 forms to the item sellers...
