I've always said It's not the game, but the people you play with. What I am most worry about is my lack of moderation. Forgive me for derailing the thread a bit, but I found this mentioned in context of upcoming Diablo III release ( yes, the author was unhappy about visual style chosen ).

World of warcraft is a mmrpg with those features that they will put on diablo III. You character get stored on the server and all those stuff...
That does not stop the existence of thousands of WoW private servers around the world... soon or later you will connect to battle.net on 127.0.0.1 ...
Actually, I'll be buying the original as well which is really rare from where i come from, simply because i want to play with the RB gang. Reading all of the D2 parties have made me want to join as well.
About the money market, I'll set it for myself that i will not use money to buy anything in this game, ever. Unfortunately, in terms of selling, I won't know how i'll react to that one... If I find something valuable and decide to keep it I'm still effectively out the same amount of money if I had bought it. Some predictions: The Auction House might even turn out to be a boom for "professional" gold/item farmers now that they have a legit open market to sell. Average to good items will sell relatively cheap, but they will make up and exceed their previous profit by much increased volume because the market is openly within easy access to everyone who play the game. No guilt and no worry about being hacked or what not. Uber items and/or characters would still maintain their high prices they once demanded. Simply, the nut cases would go to extreme lengths (grinding) or pay for something that's marginally "better" or just look different. Eventually, someone will attempt to sue Bliz for having paid real cash for a dupe
