[SPOILERS - PBEM17] novice and spaceman - Suryavarman of India

I played PBEM13 first, but I'll quickly do the PBEM17 report first because, well, it's quick. I set research for Researchable Parts, due in 2 turns (could have done it 1 turn but can turn up research when doing Steam Power->Railroad).

since you have nothing to gain from going after Rego and Shoot has nothing to gain from going against Darrell

can cut off his iron pretty early on and make his war painful

16:45 David: Shoot has a NAP with a 5t cooldown with Rego, once he cancels that, we're good to go
he's in the process of spamming rifles at the moment

and that's only if darrell comes in as soon as possible
David: the catch is I promised Darrell ships for this venture

and if he doesn't get them he will grow suspicious

well, we're still building frigates & cannons, loosely as agreed
but they function as much as defensive units

In brief, it looks like Shoot, Dave & darrell will be going after rego next. We'll stay out of it and everyone will see how the land lies before the next world war. I'm happy with that.

We'll have Railroad soon, then can whip machine guns in defence if we feel threatened.

I'm planning the National Epic in Investment and Ironworks in Cash Cow. We have a GSci stored, he could generate 30bpt by settling in Capital, but we could also use him for a golden age if we get a suitable GP or we could bulb something useful, e.g. Physics. So I'm okay with stockpiling him for now.

Building mostly infra as we're trying to catch up while others war. Growing our cities will allow us to emergency whip Machine guns later.

Cash Cow should get windmills and workshops to maximize hammers.

Remember, if cities are growing onto coast but lack specialist slots, consider whipping something that gives us more slots.

We have research visibility on Shoot (Corporation due in 1), and almost on Darrell and Rego. Switched EPs off Dave to try and get visibility on Darrell and Rego and keep it on Shoot.

Ooh, you've played it. Nice one. I've been struggling to get connected but have finally managed.

I didn't think I was letting things grow onto coast tiles.

Btw we should probably whip the settler in NB, settle marble, and then start the NE in Investment or in our NP city. I think in Investment, as it has some GPP naturally and can work a ton of specialists.
