Kuro Wrote:And also LeSean McCoy catches every TD pass from Vick?
Now we're talking!
Come on... at work, my director told me to draft Romo. I drafted Manning.
He had pick 4 in his draft. I told him to draft Vick. He drafted Rodgers.
Tomorrow, I'm going to be given a pretty bad time at work.
Only way I can dodge getting a hard time from him about fantasy football is if McCoy has a good game.
And don't get me started on the hard time I'll get if the Broncos lose Monday.
You can get a look at a t-bone by looking up the bulls ass but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.

Vick over Rodgers, though? No way.
I have a flaw in waxing nostalgic, and Vick saved my season last year. That said, in spot 4, and especially in his league (12 teams with specialty settings) I would have taken Rodgers too. But tough for me to take anyone over Vick after last year

Alright, so it's fairly late Saturday(Well, Sunday morning now)...rosters are pretty much set for tomorrow's action! With that said and done, let's turn our eyes to the guessing game with points. IT'S TIME...TO PREDICT FOOTBALL!
The Seven Running Samurai -11 vs. the C-Town Spider Pigs
Ah, my team. I suppose it's a bit unfair for me to predict myself, hm? But still, let's give it a go.
Josh Freeman(RB7) vs. Matthew Stafford(CTSP)
Amusingly, we have a straight-up battle here, as Tampa Bay and the Lions are actually playing each other. Freeman was very consistant last year, while Stafford has gobs of potential: The Lions defense is also certainly improved from some other years, Suh anchoring the line. Stafford definately has the edge in wideouts, though, as he can throw to the all-star Calvin Johnson. Neither have too much depth either, but Burleson is probably the better of the two in depth. I don't think either will have a spectacularly better day than the other.
Result: Push
Peyton Hillis(RB7) vs. LeSean McCoy(CTSP)
Hillis is facing a Bengals defense that, sad as I am to say, sucks. In the famous words, "I just hope we can win a game!". McCoy is also going up against a fairly soft defense in the Rams. Hillis definately has the softer defense, but McCoy has a passing game that can keep his lanes open and, perhaps more importantly, a recieving option.
Result: Rush. Maybe a slight McCoy lean.
Darren McFadden(RB7) vs. Ryan Grant(CTSP)
Ryan Grant scored 4 points. McFadden may be coming off an injury, but he's playing the fucking Denver Broncos. McFadden easily takes this matchup head-on.
Result: McFadden, possibly big
Andre Johnson(RB7) vs. Roddy White(CTSP)
Two of the league's supreme wideouts, but I like Andre here against a Colts team reeling with an aging Collins at QB. Colts offense, if stalled, will give the Colts' defense less time to rest. The Bears' defense might not be of old, but Cutler's INT Machine should give White plenty of chances on the other side of the ball.
Result: Push, I'd lean Andre though
Mike Williams(RB7) vs. Dwayne Bowe(CTSP)
Bowe is obviously the better wideout here, especially facing a Bills defense that is "all that" only in the sense of how much they suck. Williams' only upside is perhaps having the better QB: Which won't help him here.
Result: Bowe
Deion Branch(RB7) vs. Steve Smith(CTSP)
Deion Branch is only one part of the wideout roulette in the Patriots' roster...but he does have Tom Brady throwing it. Steve Smith is obviously superior...but do you truly trust him to get the ball when he's getting thrown to by an unproven, untested Cam Newton or, worse, a Jimmy Clausen or Derek Anderson if Newton fails or gets injured rushing? What about the fact that you probably can't name a single other Carolina reciever? Expect to see Williams-Stewart rushing it and Smith left hoping Newton can throw a ball.
Result: Branch, due to Brady
Mercedes Lewis(RB7) vs. Dallas Clark(CTSP)
Tough choice. Old fossil Collins or Blaine Gabbert, someone I don't care much for? I don't exactly expect to see Collins slinging it down field, so TE checkdown should be common. Point, Clark.
Result: Clark
Falcons D/ST(RB7) vs. Packers D/ST(CTSP)
The Packers got a paltry 5 points this last time around. The Falcons are facing Jay Cutler, who practically should have taken over the "Delhomme Rating". I'll take that going better than 5 points.
Result: Falcons D
Rob Bironas(RB7) vs. Neil Rackers(CTSP)
Rackers has more scoring oppourtunities, but I feel the difference will be minimal. Give it to Rackers.
Results: Rackers
Final Prediction: I think it's pretty clear that, barring something majorly unforeseen, Ryan Grant's performance means I'll win this...but it's close enough for me to take the +11. Pigs +11
Baltimore Blue Jays +28 vs. Scranton Scooters
Alright, we got two peeps NOT me this time. The Scooters are giving up a whomping 28 points! So let's check the matchup.
Michael Vick(Cyne) vs. Tom Brady(Scooter)
Michael Vick's time to be played is now, early and often, especially against a bad defense like this one. Tom Brady, of course, is Tom Brady though. Tom Brady is in an interesting connundrum here, though, as the Jays are actually starting two NE players: Chad and TE Gronkowski. Although neither are higher end players for NE, if Brady has a good day it could bolster the Jays' score. I gotta take Vick on this.
Result: Vick
Michael Turner(Cyne) vs. Jamaal Charles(Scooter)
Turner is facing a Bears defense, so it'll be tough enough: Charles is a great runner who happens to be facing a medicore, if that IMO, defense. Charles.
Result: Charles
...And at that point it was 6:40 AM and I was too tired to do position-by-position plays. So I'll just say straight up: Can't resist +28 on a matchup that hinges so much on a few key things, do Jays +28
The Gildersome Giants are getting +25 in a matchup that I can't trust either team to run away with, so I gotta take the points. Giants +25.
With AP, the Beijing Lewd Lobbers have a solid RB edge, but their luck rests entirely on the Giants, starting two of their wideouts alongside non-factor Hines Ward, while the Parkin City War Chariots' Bradon Marshall has the issue of no QB to throw to him. With Rodgers having a good game behind him and Rivers' upside potentially hampered by the War Chariots having Vincent Jackson, I'll grab Parkin City, in the points @ +8
Biwinning vs. Tebow is all on Adrian Foster's playing chance and how good he does, as otherwise Tebow pulverizes them. Biwinning also has no wideout presence, but face the awesome trio of Maclin, Harvin and Wallace. Let's round things out with Tebow -7.
Jeez, it sounds like Tampa Bay sure laid an egg today: Josh Freeman appaeantly left with a leg cramp for a bit so I only got 14 from him. Combined with Hillis failing(I still need to trade the guy), it looks like I'm going to lose despite Bowe getting ONE point and White getting SIX. Very dissapointing.
EDIT: Did Tebow lay an egg too or what? Chris Johnson, Percy Harvin, Maclin...all low.
Kuro Wrote:EDIT: Did Tebow lay an egg too or what? Chris Johnson, Percy Harvin, Maclin...all low.
Yeah, terrible. I can't fault Harvin too much (I drafted him as a WR3) consider he did find the enzone in spite of McNabb, but CJ, Gore, Venatieri, and Maclin with 12 points combined....sheesh.
It didn't help that I had a totally unreasonable day. Stevie Johnson AND AJ Green scoring TDs? Mike Tolbert getting 26 points? 19 points from the Bears? My scrubs and the studs got all mixed up.
