Turn 155 [1650AD]
Cool .. odds now 16.8% for the Mace [must've misread, or used an injured one last time]
Aww, my best Axe [oldest, and best promo'd, the one-time anti-Barbarian sentry, EllenDegeneres] was killed by an Ioan Knight, must've been healing Next Knight gets called EllenDegeneresII

Turn 156 [1655AD] Ooh, a date change
Laur's defence down to 16% Knights in place have 62% odds
Mixed results in the battle:
Cho-Ko-Nu lost to Knight; Cho-Ko-Nu beat Jaguar; Mace beat Knight; Pike lost to Knight [again .. how?]; Axe lost to Horse Archer [twice]; Pike lost to Crossbow.
BTW, teching toward Military Tradition:
Music [1 - this turn] -> Philosophy [2] -> Nationalism [5] -> Military Tradition [10]
all at 50% rate, that is subject to change.

Woah, any records of how many units you killed and lost in the final apocalyptic war with Ioan?
And thanks for keeping Ioan distracted, by tying down hammers and unit maintenance I ran away with the game. I don't really get what Ioan was trying to do though, he already poached all your land and it wasn't like he'd be able to really push into your core.

Nothing else than keep my positions/land gained in East.
And this required alot of units as long as GingerEagle was not disturbed by Sareln in West he throw many, many units ( even outdated ) against my two advanced cities which I need to counter ...

Nah I was just cheering you on. It was pretty obvious I was propping you up with resource trades, so its not like I was proposing an alliance.
And wow, Ioan did a real number on you, he killed a ton of axes and spears. It was depressing watching that stack sit on the hill next to Laur slowly bombarding it down, as Ioan's knights slowly picked off units and got some ridiculous promotions.

Apart from the Stone and Marble trades it was spare resources that were traded. Granted, the Rice was a bonus, but not technically "propping" me up.

I guess I should have put it better, I was rooting for you to win against Ioan . Another couple of turns and I would have gifted you silver.

This Marble versus Stone deal was actually sort of " let's help the best developed player to win before anybody could kill me off" ...
