I don't trust you zak and that is exactly one of those sentences why I don't trust you. You watched with interest but didn't want to influence the situation? But influencing the situation is what village-zak is doing. ALWAYS. I have seen you play last game. You can get people on the block simply by voting for them. You push people, you go for someone just to switch when he gets traction, just to get answers to questions only you know. And you know what? You have done none of that this game. Oh yes, here and there you posted something along those lines. For someone who hasn't played with you you surely seem like a villager. But for someone who was your fellow mason, for someone who was working with you and tried to understand you last game you sure as hell don't play like you did. Honestly, I wanted to ask if you have no time or whats going on but now, after that sentence, I don't need to ask that. You have time - you simply decided that, against every villager-play you've ever shown on RB, you won't engage.
It is too early I know, but I tell you what:

Oh, and I am sure on scooter now as well. I just have to find time to present my findings. His posts are... very insightful if you know what to look for (hint: *).

Each game is different, Serdoa. Last game I felt I had a very solid wolf lead on days 1-2 in Gaspar, and pushed hard for that because it felt like he might slip away. On day 3 I had to focus on defending myself (and Lewwyn), so you got to see how I react under those circumstances. I guess that day really triggered my paranoia or something because I then got a little too attached to my own private interpretation of day 3, and you got to see some of my foolish, gullible side on day 4, defending Novice. After Novice was lynched, the game more or less wrapped itself up, and you got to see that I wasn't a complete idiot when it comes to tying up the loose ends in an endgame.
Here, I felt I had good wolf leads on Uberfish and Erebus on days 1 and 2, but I didn't have to push very hard because everybody followed so willingly. Maybe that should have been a cause for concern, but then again, there wasn't anybody else I would prefer to lynch, and I don't think either of them defended all that well. Yes, I also thought (and still think, on balance) that Scooter is a wolf, but I was more convinced about Erebus. Why would I make a last minute switch like that, then? You say I should have tried to influence the situation, but that is just getting hung up on my phrasing; I am sure you'll agree that me staying quiet also influenced the situation. As it was, I thought they were both likely to be wolves, but I was more certain about Erebus, so I was content to watch. If I had thought that Scooter was innocent, and that Erebus was about to be saved by wolves and misguided villagers, I would obviously have said something.
Anyway, that's why you haven't seen me push so hard in this game; there has been no cause for it. Rather the opposite, in fact, given how willingly people have followed. Nobody has really attacked me very strongly so far, except for Rowain, who isn't so hard to defend against. So you haven't really seen my defensive side either. You may have caught glimpses of my foolish side, although I don't feel like I've played a bad game, yet. What you have seen so far is me trying to come up with viable theories, while there isn't all that much to really latch on to in the first place. (To some extent, you might also say that we've been distracted by villagers acting suspiciously.) We've all been going slightly in circles because we can identify some fairly likely innocents, but there is a general shortage of damning evidence to implicate anyone as a wolf.
My take on this is that the wolves are simply doing a good job of staying low and maintaining their cover. All we can really do about that is to soldier on, and keep looking for innocent reads, so we can narrow things down. Give a man enough rope, and he will hang himself. I feel that's what's going on here, applied to the village as a whole. As long as the wolves can evade suspicion, villagers will inevitably get hung; they don't necessarily need to push for it.
I can tell your paranoia is peaking in this game; I understand why, and I don't fault you for it. In a sense, it might even be good for the village if people stop listening to me for a while, because it will force the wolves to work harder to come up with their own theories. Maybe I should focus more exclusively on identifying villagers for now, so I don't give the wolves an opportunity to hide in my wake. And it sounds like I may need to focus a bit on defense as well, which is fair enough.
Final note: your claim that I won't engage is yet again unfair. I answer every question asked of me, and I engage others in discussion too. For example, I was happy to discuss Catwalk's theories on TT, just to keep the discussion going even when the lynch outcome seemed set on Erebus. I think that criticism should be leveled at others, if at all. I cannot keep the discussion going all on my own. (This was also a week-end, so I had less time at a computer, and mostly followed the thread from my phone.)
If you know what I mean.

Er, this is a pretty simple explanation, but I'm not sure why it means me = werewolf. Since you chose not to explain though, I'll explain.
When you email a post to yourself via gmail and then copy and paste it from you iphone to RB, it puts those asterisks there at the end of the paragraphs for whatever reason. I believe Serdoa is suggesting that this somehow makes me a wererwolf..? I don't know if he thinks I'm running posts by werewolves or something or what - although anyone who's ever played WW with me knows that's ridiculous, as I pretty much write whatever I want .
The reason for this is two-fold. First, why in Gmail? I've actually mentioned in the past that I write up 75% of my posts in notepad or some external editor and paste it in, because I've lost too many posts before... and given that I tend to type a lot when I do post, losing a lengthy post is frustrating. Only problem is it's still possible to lose posts in notepad if you are particularly clumsy, so I started typing them up in Gmail on occasion because it auto-saves everything without having to create a notepad file on your hard-drive for every post. It's wonderful, really, and I'm doing it right now as I type this.
Second though, why bother going through the hassle to post it from my iphone? I work a part-time job while school is going on that means I'm sitting in front of a computer. Since I just got back to school, this just recently began, right around the time I began disappearing from the forums. Unfortunately, the internet filter at this job is a bit, uh, zealous, so I can't access RB at this job. I have an iphone though, so I can follow the game from my iphone, but posting from it is a monstrous hassle - which I've actually done several times (my first post in this game was from my phone). So what I've done several times is I'll type up my post in Gmail, email it to myself, and then copy/paste from my iphone into here. It's utterly ridiculous, but it's the best I can do to continue participating. Go back to all my posts with asterisks in them and you'll notice a distinct lack of quoting, which is not like me at all. That's the reason why.
I have more to say about my innocence, but that will have to wait a few hours, as I'm off to class now. Apologies for any typos - I was in a hurry to get this off.

Quick follow-up - how exactly did you figure this out and why did it not happen until now? It's a pretty random thing to happen, and I've never seen it on any forum before... Really the only way you'd know this is if you've done it yourself before or seen it happen before... And if that was the case, why did you wait until now to note it? Just thought that was random, because even I wasn't sure why the asterisks were showing up until I had done it a couple times.

I don't have time right now to analyze everything that's happening (and has happened), but I just wanted to say I'm sorry to see you go Erebus. I hope this experience doesn't sour you on the game (speaking from personal experience here). It can be quite fun if you don't let yourself get too emotionally invested in it.

You really thought I had a clue why there were asterisks all over the place? I read that you copy and pasted that post. I know that copy and paste from notepad and word won't give you those asterisks as I did it myself before. And I noticed that you wrote from your phone but didn't get the asterisks in those cases. So obviously you've done something else. Tbh I assumed that you are copy/pasting from a chat or something similar. As for the question why now: Because I reread your posts now (and only your posts) and then it is much more obvious then when you simply read the thread.
Your explanation does sound valid though, I admit that. I am not really sold on it - after all you could easily send those messages back and forth in gmail first, couldn't you? And I don't believe your "I write what I want" - I think as a wolf if your fellow wolves are the right kind, you'll have quite some talk with them, also and especially about crafted posts.
Oh, and can you explain why your first asterisks post has those at every paragraph while your second does have one without?

I do think scooter is honestly busy and somewhat lacking motivation, but I also feel strongly that he is a wolf. It would explain a lot of the issues I'm having with him. I'd say TT and Sareln are another good bets and wouldn't be surprised if at least one of them is a wolf. Still not getting much wolf vibes from Catwalk, even after re-reading his posts with wolf glasses on...

Ask those I've played with... Yeah there was discussion on how to approach things, but I don't run posts through other editors ever.

They were annoying me so I deleted them.
