I actually like lurker pick, mostly because I'm not familiar with all the civs myself.

But, if I understood correctly, the lurkers are going to pick the civ/leader for the players (like BTS PBEM 18). And I think we agreed on the settings too (unless someone wants to propose another thing).

We just need a map, I guess. I know I already expressed my opinion about it, but I'm willing to play whichever map the players prefer or the mapmaker wants to make. I just want to see the game starting!

I'm a bit confused at what exactly you're asking from us, though.

• Are we saying 'ok, Dave, you get to be Charadon of the Luchiurp because you only bribed Darrell, not me'?
  
• If that one - should we take any preferences into account? Maybe a short veto list, or match a gamestyle?
  
• Or are we coming up with a list from which you all will pick?
  
• And what was your conclusion on restricted vs. unrestricted?
