How many more workshops are you planning to lay down?
Yeah, I assume we'll do OR+Slavery some day and whip some stuff.
I'm not planning many more workshops, I prefer specialists over workshops. I guess when our workers run out of things to do we can pre-workshop all the farms to be ready for a production push at the end of the space race. At the moment though I'd focus on railroading.
I have to run.

Diplo from Shoot (!)
Quote:Hey Nospace,
Congrats on landing Broadway. I accepted your open borders in game by the way, a nice boon to both our empires I figured. Anyway, I write both to check in with you guys since it has been a while since we last chatted and also to see if there might be any resource trades you guys are interested in. I notice from the trade screen that you guys lack wheat; would you be interested in trading something for it and thus benefiting both our empires?
Shoot
I don't mind giving him a favourable trade, wheat for hit musicals. If he has anything else to throw in we can request that as well, of course.
Or should we be misers and ask for gpt on top?
I have to run.

OK, t141 played. I decided to use our great prophet from Rego for a confucian shrine. It earns us 46gpt so I figured the payback horizon was short enough.
We finished Broadway and started Eiffel Tower. Already we're gifting Hits to Rego, trading them to Darrell for Dyes, and I offered them to Shoot in exchange for Wheat.
Recon screenshot for Rego:
Rego also requested 500 gold, which I accepted.
I revolted back to Free Market, and at max tax the difference in GNP was very marginal, we make 20gpt more under Free Market. I think State Property wins out after all due to the food and production bonus, it's a wash though. Even with OB with everyone we're using plenty of internal trade routes, I guess that helps nerfing Free Market.
I put 20 EP back on Darrell for this turn only to regain research visibility. It turns out he's also read the T-Hawk manifesto and is researching Refrigeration.
I have to run.

I don't mind giving Shoot Hit Musicals for wheat, to engender a bit of goodwill.
I think they will still probably go for us after rego since there is a big suspicion about our behaviour since the war declaration. Machine guns everywhere!
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

Yeah we have nationalism and rifling now. If we need to mobilize we'll research flight, and use planes + rifles. We can put hammers into ships, rifles and planes, then adopt PS+Nat/Vass+Slavery+SP+Theo for one turn and whip/draft like crazy, whipping multiple units in every city.
I have to run.

Well yes - I don't see us doing much attacking if we're gunning for a space race, although granted we need offensive units to clear out any invaders.
That said, the best form of defence is offence...

So you 884 beakers at 0% research, this is just great, how much for breken even?
And yes planes are beter.
I usualy use MG whe for example its taking me 2 moves wich my cavalry, to defend from siege i bring 3-4 MG they just do wonders.

Break even is 70% research which gives ~1700 beakers per turn. I fear Darrell's economy is stronger though, I guess you can check for yourself. It must be stronger right now at least, with him in a golden age. Although he is showing Refrigeration in 2, and we can also get Refrigeration in 2 at break-even.
I have to run.
