[SPOILERS] Emissaries from the blighted lands; Mardoc and Jkaen take on the world!

To make partial amends: here's the situation at T39

My lovely capital of Yang, configured for max hammers/commerce. The goal here is to hurry up with that Governor's Manor so I can get back to worker/settler spam. I really should have more workers, but I'm thinking the Manor will let me build them faster.

Jkaen's almost as lovely capital of Ying. Note that we're still wasting the crab due to lack of Fishing, but the land tiles are quite good regardless. He just finished a settler here. Don't yell at him for not working the corn, it was recently covered in barbarian warriors.

My planned 2nd city. Note that I have Bloodpets in both forests, and the settler is currently hanging out in Rosedale. He'll be able to sprint from cover to cover, therefore, and found in 2:

Note again the need for Fishing in the near future smile.

Finally, here's my thinking on where city 3 should go:

You ought to be aware of our tech discussions - basically we're torn between the need for worker/workboat techs, and the security of Bronze. Our next aspirational techs are going to be mainly religions, getting the Malakim machine going; Feudalism isn't worth teching until I have a nice core of big cities to draft/Feast from. Religions also give nice secondary benefits, like culture. We'll probably want to have almost all of them, eventually, in the Malakim empire, to build a priest military; the Calabim are planning Leaves for culture and Ashen Veil for econ, and nothing else.

Off to the west, Jkaen's Hunter is involuntarily farming the barbs wink. He's actually gotten pretty experienced, and learned from the goblins how to subdue animals. Hopefully soon the onslaught will fade enough that he can start actually doing so.

Finally, the demos. They look pretty bad at the moment, which I'm blaming on the choke. The obvious answer is REX; aristograrianism ought to let us catch up.

Little quibble, which you may be aware of already, but it's odd to see the light guys associated with Yin and the dark guys with Yang here.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

That's probably an error, but there's no way we're changing now, I've finally learned our names wink.

Anyway, the main point isn't so much good/evil as opposites balancing each other.

Ok, Mardoc covered everything in pretty good detail there, but a few more shots for you. First the second round for the barbs to try and kill off my hunter seems to be coming up

Secondly I have a settler, but can't actually move it right now as my city is under siege. I am building a hunter as I need a unit that can attack out of the city

I also finally remembered to revolt to Aristocracy (and Apprenticeship)

Oh I forgot my worker has finally finished the thin line between Yin and Yang, so we both get 1 extra commerce a turn now!

Is that a barb sword? I don't think I've actually ever seen that before (in FFH, I mean.)
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

That's a skeleton ( or spectre, can't remember which ) when you have unit animations turned off. Barbs don't produce swords in FFH, only axes.

Sorry yes, I get wierd graphic glitches (its a skelly)

Didnt realise it was linked to unit animations, will turn them back on.

I'd be shocked if our lurkers complain wink.

Plus I might miss something important if it's just me. Like, say, the importance of trade smile. Thanks for that, btw, and for aristo. Techs ought to be flying along soon.

Settler under siege? That's disappointing. My fingers are definitely crossed for close copper that lets us use cheap warriors to keep them at bay. Still - thanks for being the barb magnet alright; at least I've been able to expand without worrying much about them. I'll try to get you some support in between my REXing.

Incase you didn't get my chat message, I hawked over your spot my turn, so hopefully everything will be visible to you, but beware the griffon 2W of where you are looking to settle.

Also shout if you need me to build a magnet to go down south at all.
