Getting online again

Hey all,

Just rebuilt my D2 install and decided to go online for a bit tonight. (My account had evaporated so I'm starting fresh.)

Will be in rbd1 (or 2 or 3) with the last password, I remember...

Random news - Lately I've been playing the harp to accompany . . . belly dance!

Welcome back smile

And what account will you be on?

Heh...I am *still* playing D2 these days. I have moved to hardcore ladder, and have been playing in Basin games of late.

DocDisaster still plays, although he has moved to Classic hardcore.

And Shishak still plays too, in softcore ladder.

Hopefully you will catch one of us, at least. smile

Hound:

I will check and see if any of the accounts I played have not expired. If they have not, are you going to be ladder or non ladder, and is there anything you'd like?

WB, and I think harp for belly dancing is a great combo. Way to go! thumbsup

I'll be CelticHound on USWest - though I managed to grab the account name Wolfhound as well. Probably softcore ladder.

Thanks for the offer Occhi, but I can't think of anything I'll need. For now, I'm happy starting from scratch.

Yeah, makes for a nice novelty factor, doesn't it? smile

I started going to a drum circle to improve my rhythm, and it's just ended up being a lot of fun. Here is the harp part of a piece I've been playing - you'll need to imagine some drums and percussion behind it.

I'm hoping something will work out on the dating front. Belly dancers have great individual muscle control. twirl

(had to add that for Occhi's benefit!)

Accompanying belly dance on the harp was one of my fantasies for the year. The other is to accompany flamenco. It's getting pushed off, though, because I'm having fun with what I'm doing now.

If I can find some time this weekend, I will try and dump all my Diablo II stuff onto Bnet. Will post here when I intend to do it.

Thanks for the thought. smoke My efforts to cajole Tina into taking belly dancing classes have been fruitless. I suppose that if the muse isn't within you, no call can evoke it.

Been slowly playing through. Up to Act V and building my own little empire.

It's been a great way to avoid doing some other things in real life, but for my kitchen remodel I've made a commitment to demo out the cabinets this Wednesday, so now I *have* to empty them and box the stuff this weekend.

Since it's nearly Xmas, I'll ask for a present. Anyone playing SC ladder on USWest, please save your El and Eld runes (the bottom two) for me. My current obsession is cubing low quality shrunken heads looking for good ones.

Occhi, if y'all were out here, I'd suggest going out to dinner at a local restaurant that has a belly dance showcase once a week. Four or five different sets of dancers with some open dances for guests to join in. That would give Tina a chance to get into the fun side (and female bonding aspect) of it. My take is that these belly dance nights are pretty much a girls' night out, and males are merely accessories. Someone as cocky as a military pilot might be able to make his own rules, though...

Yes, and get into heap big trouble, risking Frying Pan of Spousal Wrath. smoke

We were in south Lake Tahoe for a week: Tina, Me, Lauren, Patrick. Skiing, a bit of gambling, a lot of playing board games and goofing around, a little movies, and quite a bit of sleeping in until time to go to slopes.

It was a good Christmas vacation.

Back in Texas now, and I miss the snow, even the cold.

I also really miss the craps tables. I won a few hundred bucks, but it all got spent on Tina's anniversary present. (This weekend.) She still doesn't know what it is.

Ooh! A mysterious surprise! Do you get the opportunity to taunt her that she doesn't know what it is?

Yes. lol However, I am taunting lightly, to ensure that anticipation is maintained, and aggrivation not induced. It's a knife's edge.
