True. My reasoning for 3 weeks was that there are no other events open, and there is the option of playing normal speed. Map size is standard. I appreciate your thoughts though, hopefully I will learn from any mistakes I make here.

Thank you, soooo. My comments in the other thread were not intended to put you down and I have removed them. I apologize.
Thanks for this great event, and for giving me an excuse to try a Monarch-level game.

Thanks for the game Sooooo. Not only do I plan to play, but with the research limitations brought about by the varient rules, this will probably be difficult for me to get a win on, but not as impossible as some other RB events I skipped entirely.
Still, we went from no RB events in sight, and suddenly I find myself playing RBW2, RB28, RB29c, and now this Epic. Maybe I bit off a little more than I should have with a vacation coming up again. Oh well, anyone know how well Civ runs of a MacBook Pro with integrated X700 video while Virtualizing Windows?

Indeed, the rule I question is this one:
2 pts - Per city you control of size 10 or greater at the end of the game
size 10 is TRIVIAL. Any pissy coastal city with 9 tiles can manage that. Something like 5 biology grassland farms should do the trick. Anyone systematically milking this (max density ICS with biology farms) could score upwards of 50 points, maybe 100. Is there something missing from this rule, because as the colloquial internet term goes, WTF?
I'm not saying people will milk it, but it's a highly questionable inclusion.

I certainly agree. Size ten requires twenty food to sustain. That is as Blake said only 5 farmed biology grasslands. I may sound repetative,(but hopefully not ungrateful for a new involved scenario) but I think 15 or 20 would be a better limit. However, what's past is past, so we will see what happens.
However, I would like to thank Sooooo again for helping us to satisfy our RB craving. The FBI and international equivalents would be very surprised if suddenly several dozen people spontaineously combusted worldwide. It would be like the guy who died playing WOW 3 days straight only worse.

*giggle* i haven't even unzipped it yet for that reason. so many of the things i usually do without thinking would break the rules. i'd need to run practice games on my own map just to train myself NOT to do those things! but that'll be part of the fun.

I agree with Blake, another rule I can see is the broadcast tower rule, which might favor delaying a victory out.
Either way, lets hope nobody goes into maximum overdrive to milk the game since thats not what really matters.

In light of the potential milking issues with size ten cities and broadcast towers, is there any chance they could just be removed from the rules? The way I see it the only reason not to milk (assuming you have the patience to milk in the first place, which I do not) is to try for one of the fastest victory awards, but the point values don't seem to make that worthwile.
