I might be being naive here, but I think the chance to milk is overrated. This is not epic 3, where spaceship was disabled. Or epic 2, where the map hindered the AIs. Some people think monarch is a walk in the park, but monarch with no libraries, observatories, academies, oxford, labs, even scientists? It's not an easy game for the majority of players. There is a natural deadline to the points: when the AI launches. If you can stop all 5 AIs launching to let you milk until 2049, then congratulations, you deserve your points. Of course the restrictions and difficulty level may not hinder our best 2% of players at RB and allow them to milk, but I think that's OK. Personally I think most people will be doing well to win the game in the first place.

I think you're potentially underestimating the milking potential of expansion by war, where more key buildings are allowed relative to the peaceful teching approach.

FINAL DECISION: There will be no changes to the original scoring sytem.
With only 3 weeks until reporting day, any further discussion will delay people starting, posssibly too much. I have seen the map, the AIs etc and I believe the current scoring system will do. Any problems can be discussed afterwards and learnt from.
So please, let's make a start and enjoy the game  .

my plan is (subject to procrastination as is everything in my life) to play it to have fun, learn a few things, and to laugh and learn a lot of things from the reports of others when it's over. other folks milking points doesn't bother me; i view my game as playing "against" myself, to see whether i do better than i thought i would, and to see if i learn from my experience. whether that's due to me being a girl (stereotype alert) or my lack of history at RB i do not know.
thank you sooooo for putting this together. it's a concept i'd never have thought of myself and has already made me smile and laugh and stretch my brain without even unzipping the file

And no Forbidden Palace either. Umm, not that I would accidentally have built one anyways only to later realize it produces Great Merchant points.... Nope, didn't do that.

Nope, didn't do that. oh right! and it means we have to actually build the broadcast towers and not Eiffel Tower them, since it gives merchant points too. yes i've built it in OCC game, i <3 extra food in OCC *giggle*.

I don't know... depends on how the game is. If you've got enough cities, it may be worth it to take the 10 point deduction and build the wonder. Not that I'm one to encourage milking...

Milking is only a problem when you decide to milk and someone else milks better than you. So if you're going to milk, do it properly. Otherwise, just fight the urge. 
Me, if I play...I'm not even sure of the win, let alone milking!
