Please excuse me if this has been addressed elsewhere, but...

Do we have standby players for Hyborem/Basium?

I seem to recall that we wouldn't have players taking over for Hyborem/Basium because that would turn this into a 7 player game and kill the turn pace.

Thank you everybody for keeping up a good pace in this game. We very rarely miss getting 1 turn per day, which is much better than many games can manage (even with fewer players.)

Thank you for the interest, Lewwyn.

Hey guys, I am following this game for some time now and in discussions with other players (both in threads here as well as by email) we realized that there are some "game-mechanic-quirks" which together with the AI-diplo-style could lead to discussions. Therefore I think you should decide upon before they are actually coming up in game.

1.) When you sign an "unbreakable" ten turn peace the game won't let you directly declare on somebody, but it will allow you to hit their units with a spell effect which results in war.

2.) If you enable the "bare map" feature and then zoom out all the way, you can see the location of all the preplaced signs on the map once you reach the "sky view" (cloud layer). In FFH, this means you usually get to see where all the unique features are, but in this game you'd get to locate everybody else's capital due to the "barrier crystal" I assume everybody has. Plus you'd see any other signs Mist put on the map.

I don't want to interfere more with your game (and indeed wouldn't have posted this if not for being asked to do it) so I won't bother telling you my own personal preference on those. But please go ahead and vote to ban or not ban those two points.

I've never done the second, and I would expect people to adhere to the forced ten turns of peace, and not cheese - Maelstrom back into war.

My thoughts exactly.

#2 - definitely ban.

#1 - I'll count on the players in this game to play fairly, but there's a lot of opportunities for abuse on both sides. If I'm at peace with someone and he's using his units to block my AoE spells or shield my opponent's units, I would consider him to have broken our peace treaty.
