It's a douchebag move on his part IMO.
Yes, that was the reasoning. And I agree it's a bit on the rude side. OTOH - well, I mean, it's hard to remain gentlemanly while attempting to kill one another . And you're right, if he thought we were a pushover, it would be much easier for him to be perfectly polite. Quote:'Oh, sure, *pats head* you just do whatever you want with your cute little army'
On the third hand - well, if I were him, I'd have been scouting Pacman every turn. Now he can't. So Beastmasters ought to come as a surprise.
Edit: And, frankly, I find it less annoying than 'be my ally against Serdoa, I'll promise to send you observers'.

Hrm. We managed it in FFH III.

I'm pretty certain he has been scouting us....so he knows we have well promoted Rangers. And I'm certain he can read a demographics chart, so I suspect those Beastmasters won't be much of a surprise. They'll still be a nice big can of whoopass if Serdoa isn't fielding anything better than Horsemen when we go for our second dance. :hat:

Given that we don't have much of a deal with Bob actually inked....I find this less annoying. Comes down to perception I suppose.
Bob really doesn't have much reason to help us out. He's got two Heros on the board and a tech lead (for the moment.....current GNP numbers are lolworthy given that we only have one city. ).
Plus a production lead and multiple build queues.
The game is his to lose.
Let's help him out with that.

And, we proudly present the reason why the Heroic Epic was worth building:

With the birth and settlement of the GSage - we can afford to swap to a production/gold emphasis now, and still make our deadline for Animal Mastery. Therefore we do so.
Probably we'll be able to continue 1-turning Rangers until D-Day. Depends on how long the overflow holds out, and how well our chopping workers can do.
Meanwhile, I went ahead and started every unit who could (except the ghosts) fortifying. We'll probably need to send out a couple of the low XP Rangers to maintain barb-free lands, but for the most part, we ought to just stick with defense for the time being.
Next up - Hiding the Ghosts and positioning them near Pacman.

Already took it for the current best Ranger. Might swap it over to one of the CIV/Formation DS's, though, in preparation for them being upgraded. It looks like the main requirement for passing equipment is that the units who do so have all their movement left, and a spell left to cast.

Equipment can be passed between units once per turn so long as the unit taking the equipment hasn't cast a spell that turn. AFAIK, movement points have nothing to do with it.
We definitely want the NB on our best Defender come t135....either a Ranger or Beastmaster.

Also, the unit giving the equipment can't have cast a spell before passing the item. Although they don't use up their spell for the turn, so can cast after the item has been taken.
