Quote:So it must be one of uberfish's "random" abilties.

Uberfish has already said that all roles are determined before loyalties are ascertained. Roles should have no relation at all to whether someone is evil.

Silly thing to claim. If it's true. I'm not sure I believe that it is...

Either way, I don't think we should claim our roles. Anybody with a powerful ability will want to lie to avoid being targeted by wolves, but that risks them being caught out by a good read. Since roles really have no relation to allegiance, claiming roles is mainly going to help wolves unravel info and select targets better. Only claim if you've got a very good reason for it.

MJW, that was smoke. A foolish role to claim when you're nowhere near the noose. However, I don't think I want an OMGUS vote yet.

We're going to spend the rest of the day talking about MJW's stupidity, and not about finding new suspects hiding in the woodwork. WW10 all over again, only this time it's MJW being a fool, not me. The lack of info generated because the game devolved into "What is Cyneheard up to this time" was really bad for the village, and I don't want to repeat it.

Note: I'd rather hang MJW than a random villager, but let's see if we can find someone non-random.

I'm sticking to my original RP Gaspar vote because I don't see any other clear suspects yet, but let's keep talking, and not just about MJW.

*Lingo definition: OMGUS is "Oh My God You Suck." When a villager does something truly boneheaded, sometimes that villager deserves death for hurting the village even though he IS innocent. I nearly got OMGUS'ed in WW10, and probably deserved it, too.

Quote:I don't want an "elf feud" again. It wasted everyone's time in FFH ww which was very annoying and could have been bad for the village.. So I just wanted to get it out of the way. JKaen also may want to kill me and be a member of the NAP.

The "Elf Feud" was an attempt to avoid being night killed and being lynched, by publicly making myself an inconvenient target. While ultimately being ready to vote with the wolves in a close game situation.

By immediately revealing yourself and creating a public feud... you're actually mirroring the situation precisely. In the Elf feud the villagers really would have been better off immediately killing me, since I rigged the situation to be a wolf by another name.

By identifying yourself and your feud mate, you might be doing the same.

I would not be averse to lynching MJW right now.

I'm inclined to agree with Cyneheard's OMGUS argument. Is it more likely that MJW played foolishly as a villager or carelessly as a wolf? Without further evidence, I'm betting on foolish villager.

If roles are truely random then there has to be a killer other than the NAP. Otherwise all night kill block abilites would be out because they would be useless if given to the NAP. The nap might have a vig on there side; so they might be able to double kill for one day.

My abilty would be hard to trigger so I don't think it is that useful. So I think the metagame issues around the abilty are more powerful then the abilty itself.

I vote Cryneheard. How would he know that my play was foolish unless he was a member of the NAP? He could think I am a misguided villager but then he would not want to vote for me. He would just ignore everything I said.

Looking back over the thread there is only 2 things that need to be said. I agree with Catwalk that Tsaki's posts looks like filler trying to bump up my post count.

I also don't take Scooter's idea seriously. I don't think I can get lyched today. There are too many players who don't post a lot and new players. Someone is always going to just eat it the first day. I think Scooter came up with that idea before the game started though so it does not say anything on weather or not he is a wolf.

But he didn't vote for you. And your play is foolish (assuming you're not NAP) because you've just potentially removed a night save from the town. I still believe you're more likely to be a villager, but a terribly destructive one at present.

This is another filler post. lol

Selrahc my abilty is not strong enough now to jusitfy killing Jkaen. I can live with a divided france. Because I will not be pusing for jkaen's death unlike you I think there will be no elf feud. I have to win the game normally. Lyching Jkaen if he is a villager does not help me at all now that I have role-claimed.

Tasunke, given that MJW has already dropped some fine smoke by handing the wolves his role info... Do you understand now why I described him as erratic? lol

I don't actually think that necessarily makes him guilty, and like Cyneheard I'm not about to lynch a village for stupidity. I'll pick someone random then.

Ichabod

The sneaky one.

He thought about it. I don't think he would think about doing it like that normally if he was a villager. He if was a villager he would think about killing me would for being annoying not for poor play.

If I where a NAP member my play, form cryneheard's view, may have been a clever attempt to get cover and not foolish. The whole idea of lyching ANYONE for "OMGUS" is a poor one. I think it is poor enough that cryneheard does not belive in it and is just trying to fill up space.
